Aakash Odedra: A dance in a hurricane of paper, wind and light

Choreographer Aakash Odedra is dyslexic and has always felt that his best expression comes through movement. “Murmur” is his ode to that experience, teaming up with co-creators Lewis Major and Ars Electronica Futurelab. Watch him spin his way through the center of a storm, as pages of books take flight all around him.

Elyse Cox details the de...

Instead, use it as a tool to enhance their awe, says science communicator Scott Sampson. This post is part of TED’s “How to Be a Better Human” series, each of which contains a piece o...

How do you find stillness? We asked TED speakers—as well as you—and the conclusions were very surprising

We all lead lives that move 1,000 miles per minute. In his TED Book, The Art of Stillness, Pico Iyer posits a bold idea: that in our chaotic time, the greatest luxury is actually the ability to go nowhere and do nothing. To Iyer, it’s this time for quiet, inward, still reflection that snaps all of our experiences into focus. This got us c...
