Why you should listen

Cloe Shasha Brooks is a writer, editor and host. She is a TED Curator, where she does research to find unique speakers for TED's stage, video and podcast programs. As a part of that role, she writes and edits TED Talks and coaches speakers on delivery in a variety of fields, with an international focus on culture, society, literature and humor. She has worked with over 500 TED speakers, diving deep into their research to help them develop their narrative arcs and communicate their ideas with clarity, nuance and impact. Shasha Brooks seeks to bring out our shared humanity among cultural and ideological differences. She cares deeply about providing a platform for ideas from marginalized voices. Outside of her work at TED, she loves cooking for family and friends, dancing, playing music and exploring the great outdoors. She grew up in New York City and Paris, and currently lives in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her spouse, daughter and their (too) many houseplants.
