Alain Bouwman

Alain Bouwman is a winner of the TEDxBocconiU Student Speaker Competition and aspires to build a career in public sector consulting. He aims at finding innovative solutions to public and social challenges. Alain is fascinated by the power of perception and explores the evolving concept of identity.

Dirk Hovy

Dirk Hovy is a Computer Linguist and associate professor in computer science at Bocconi University. His work focuses on computational social science, in particular the interaction between language and machine learning models.

Nader Sabbaghian

Nader Sabbaghian is a venture capitalist and General Partner at 360° Capital Partners. Nader is an Engineering graduate from MIT and began his career in consultancy. He has over 15 years of hands-on experience as Manager, Investor and Entrepreneur in disruptive European tech companies and Internet ventures.

Nancy Fina

Nancy Fina is a fashion, advertising and portrait photographer, image maker and creative thinker. Her work is published worldwide in international fashion magazines and advertising campaigns. She works out of of Milan, Shanghai, New York and Dubai. She combines an American joy of life, an Italian visual aesthetic, a feminine sensitivity, and harmonious use of light and color. With these ingredients, Nancy creates visual stories with a powerful and unmistakable impact.

Paolo Fabene

Paolo Fabene is a neuroscientist, Associate Professor of Anatomy and Histology at the University of Verona and member of the General Committee of the Italian Society of Neuroscience and the National Committee for Experimental Epileptology of the Italian League against Epilepsy. His work focuses on understanding the behavioral and cognitive correlates of non-neuronal to neuronal cell cross-modulation both in baseline and in pathological conditions, such as epilepsy.

Rakhi Mehra

Rakhi Mehra is passionate about fostering socially inclusive cities. She is an economics graduate from University of Delhi, Oxford University and Harvard. During her education, her main inspiration became Professor Muhammad Yunus’s pioneering work with Grameen Bank in micro finance. This led to her co-founding mHS CITY LAB in India.

Riccardo Zecchina

Riccardo Zecchina is a professor in theoretical physics and machine learning at Bocconi University. He has received multiple international recognitions, including an ERC Advanced Grant and the Lars Onsager prize 2016 by the American Physical Society.

Vanisha Sampat

Vanisha Sampat is a winner of the TEDxBocconiU Student Speaker Competition. She is pursuing a Bachelor in International Politics and Government at Bocconi University, to build a career in Journalism and Research.
