Why you should listen

Kim Scott is the author of Radical Respect: How to Work Together Better and Radical Candor: Be a Kickass Boss Without Losing your Humanity. She's on a mission to create BS-free zones where people can do the best work of their lives and love working together. She was a CEO coach at Dropbox, Qualtrics, Twitter and other tech companies, as well as a member of the faculty at Apple University. Before that, she led AdSense, YouTube and DoubleClick teams at Google.

Scott learned the most valuable but painful management lessons as cofounder and CEO of two failed startups: Juice Software and Capital Thinking. Earlier in her career, she was an analyst at the Soviet Companies Fund, started a diamond-cutting factory in Moscow and was director of operations of a pediatric clinic in Kosovo. She shares what she’s learned from failures and successes alike at Radical Candor, the executive education company she cofounded, and on the acclaimed management podcasts she co-hosts. She lives with her family in Silicon Valley.
