David Blood is a founding and senior partner of Generation Investment Management, which focuses on long-term, environmentally and socially conscious projects.

David Blood founded Generation Investment Management alongside former US Vice President Al Gore and others in 2004. The firm has played a pioneering role in the development of sustainable and environmental, social and governance (ESG). Prior to this work, Blood spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, including a few years as CEO of asset management.

Blood sits on the boards of several nonprofits, including as chairman of Just Climate and Social Finance UK, co-chair of the World Resources Institute and a board member of On the Edge Conservation.
