Theme: Multi-Dimensional Man

‘Multi-Dimensional Man’ is inspired by the concept put forward by Herbert Marcuse, namely 'One-Dimensional Man', which refers to those who accept whatever the society gives them and give up other possible ways of life.
Thus we invite four speakers to share their experience and attitude towards a multi-dimensional life.

Danjin Sun

Sun is a senior student, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in International Economic and Trade at Nankai University. She is going to further her studies in Computer Science. Besides, she is an actress in university theater workshop.

Zhe Tong

Tong is the headmaster of One Man University - an online education institute. When studying at Peking University, he majored in Physics and Mathematics. However, he dreams of becoming a writer.

Feng Tao

Tao is a lecturer at Nankai University and earned his PhD of aesthetics at Tsinghua University. He writes poems, plays and paints. In addition, he is nicknamed 'the strongest PhD in China' because he was the Chinese representative in International Powerlifting Open Tournament.

Jian Sun

Sun is a student at University of International Relations. He is an excellent long-distance runner and he writes poems when he feels depressed. He was a student at Liren College - a non-government education institute and now an organizer of the Open Course Program at 706 Youth Space.
