TEDxNewYorkSalon is the longest running and most active TEDx community in New York City. Since 2009, we’ve hosted a weekly salon that invites a diverse community of thinkers, doers, and change agents in the spirit of sharing ideas.

Led by world-class facilitators from our organizing team, our signature Salons are based on pre-recorded TED Talks and explore a specific theme for discussion. After screening the talk, you are invited to share in a lively discussion to investigate the chosen theme from multiple points of view. This weekly event has shifted how connections are made by offering a soft space for hard conversation. A place where listening is just as important as speaking.

Our REMIX Salons happen about once per month and feature guest facilitators who are experts in their field. As a result, REMIX salons often allow the community to revisit a past theme or topic from a nuanced point of view.

For 2014, we thrilled to begin offering live speaker salons for our community. These events featured allow select speakers to share their journey, big idea and insights based on personal experiences as well as groundbreaking research and innovation. As the newest offering for our community, we're really grateful for the potential live speakers offer to enhance each discussion and create deeper connection.
