Caroline Shapiro

Caroline Shapiro is a senior at Bexley High School. Traveling is her passion, and she has spent a decent amount of time abroad, including most recently, spending her junior year as a foreign exchange student in Lima, Peru.

Shreya Sirivolu

Shreya Sirivolu is a junior from Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell, Ohio. She is the founder and President of OLHS Humane Society Club and she is actively working with the city of Powell in convincing them to build a dog park. She is also the President of ZooAide Advisory Panel at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium where she works with the zoo administration in conservation and preservation efforts. She was recently seen on Nickelodeon TV with Jack Hanna promoting the importance of animals and education. She is a certified archery instructor and loves to compete in target archery.

Shweta Ambwani

Shweta Ambwani is currently a senior at Dublin Jerome High School. She is really involved in her community as she is the president of Multicultural Club, captain of her Relay for Life Team, and a volunteer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Shweta contributes to her class cabinet, mock trial team, and has danced for her entire life. She was also a participant in the Central Ohio Leadership Academy and Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease.

Alex Lacey

In West Philadelphia, they were born and raised. The playground was where they spent most of their days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool, and shooting some basketball outside of the school.

Dontavius Jarrells

Donald Isom

Donald is the CEO of I AM D.A.N.C.E. LLC which he founded Dec 2011. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and studied at Cuyahoga Community College. He has been dancing for almost his whole life, started taking dancing seriously when 16 years old.

Rohit Joshi

Rohit Joshi is a senior at Dublin Coffman High School, where he is an International Baccalaureate student. He is very actively involved outside the classroom, playing varsity tennis, tutoring students, and leading Central Ohio debate. Recently, Rohit has developed an interest in science and technology, and is actively pursuing this with several of his own internships and social projects, with a goal of one day changing the society using medical technology.

Jayce Fryman

Jayce is a senior at Columbus Alternative High School. He would like to go to Stanford University for college and hopes to eventually become a psychiatrist. He has presented a poster on Internet Addiction at the National American Psychiatric Association.

Jakob Michaels

Jakob Michaels has been bringing miracles to life using a combination of suggestion, intuition, psychology, inspirational speaking and showmanship to audiences for over a decade. Taiyo Scanlon-Kimura

Taiyo Scanlon-Kimura is a third year Politics & East Asian Studies student at Oberlin College. His family lives in Clintonville, where he was born and raised. As a person, Taiyo sees himself as the accumulation of past human interactions. What makes him unique as an individual is mostly a product of other peoples’ influences.

JD Hyman

JD Hyman is currently a graduate student at Ohio Christian University pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration. Originally from South Carolina, JD made his way to Ohio to live out his life goal, to improve the quality of life of the people around him. He was involved with many outreach initiatives while completing his undergraduate degree such as World Vision and World Gospel Mission. JD has also studied abroad in Italy and for a short time has worked on a congressional campaign. Currently his time is split as an IT professional and working with students through an afterschool program both for Circleville City School district. In his spare time he continues to write more books and works as a freelance photographer.

Austin Channell

Austin is currently a high school senior and is trying to figure out the whole “college application” thing. This is his second year involved with TEDxYouth@Columbus as an intern and his first time giving a talk on a TED stage. He likes to spend his free time (which he almost never has) reading, singing, and shooting his friends with NERF darts. He is also very involved in local theater and music, meaning that it’s possible to see him wearing all manner of strange clothing.

Jay Clouse

Jay loves Reds baseball and meeting new people. In 2012, he launched his first solo venture, MarketOSU: Ohio State’s largest student-only marketplace. Jay is a Startup Weekend and StartupBus alum, as well as a TechColumbus Student Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2013, he was the recipient of the Fisher College of Business’s highest honor, the Pace Setter.

Jesse Lear

Jesse Lear is Co-Founder of VIP Waste Services, a fast-growing company that provides doorstep trash and recycling pickup for people who live in apartment communities. An aspiring entrepreneur since his early teens, Jesse was told numerous times that his dreams were too far “out there”. Thankfully, he didn’t listen. He also considers himself a foodie and recently met his goal to try 52 different Columbus-based restaurants within one year.

Hannah Matheny

Hannah Matheny is an outgoing young woman who finds herself wanderlust. She loves going on adventures, listening to her elders’ childhood stories, & loves singing. She plans to go to college next year to become an Intervention Specialist for Special Needs Education & minor in Spanish. She looks at the positives in life. Her motto is “Never let the fear of striking out keep me from playing the game.”

Krista Jordan

Krista Jordan is a Kent State University Student Entrepreneur looking to make a difference in the world of cancer. She started her business Flight 4 the Cure in January of 2013 and is now looking to share her motivation with you all, in hopes that you too will go out and follow your dreams.

Kelsey Langdale

At the age of 23, Kelsey Langdale has already established herself as a leader, taking on tough challenges in business and the world. Kelsey has always had a passion for applied creativity, and for making the world a better place. In high school she received the pride award, recognized by the faculty as being a class leader, one of the highest honors in her school. She sought out programs throughout high school and college that honed her creative skill, and then jumped directly into applying this expertise at PackH2O, a socially-minded start-up enterprise setting out to take on issues related to the world’s water crisis. In her role at PackH2O, she has managed the company’s marketing initiatives across the globe. Kelsey is the face of their successful social media efforts, and many speaking engagements for business, political and educational audiences. She has presented to groups of world leaders, met with President Clinton, and interacted at the highest level with many of the leading NGO’s, working together to address the water crisis.

Madison Mikhail

Madison Mikhail is the Founder and President of the non-profit organization, One Life. As a biology student at Capital University, she is interested in pursuing a career in public health. Madison is humbled to have the potential to teach others about disease and nutrition.

Spencer Channell

Spencer Channell, a sophomore at Olentangy Orange High School, is a local performer, arranger, composer, and teacher of music. He has worked under the mentorship of local jazz musicians such as Bradley Sowash, Bobby Floyd and Dave Powers as well as music directors such as Pam Welsh-Huggins, Mark Donavan, and Jonathan Collura. Spencer has composed and arranged music for Olentangy Orange’s jazz band, local theatrical productions, and short films.
