x = independently organized TED event

This event occurred on
May 1, 2013
9:00am - 9:00am EDT
(UTC -4hrs)
Johnstown, Pennsylvania
United States

Our event was about human kind and working to show our community that our school is a great place, filled with wonderful kids who can achieve and inspire. Furthermore, we wanted to have an event to showcase the brilliance of our students as well as their compassion and understanding for human kind. People in the surrounding area treat our students as second class citizens because of the school they attend, "the ghetto" school. We wanted to change that perception as well as demonstrate that perceptions come from adults and we all must lead responsibly. We are a great school, with great kids. No one can take that away from us.
