These Innovation Passes will be available on September 27th.

TED, standing for Technology Entertainment and Design, is popular for their innovative thematic conferences and speakers. Recently, the TED community has grown substantially with the introduction of TEDx - where ordinary people can design their own independently organized TED event. In Gainesville, the University of Florida put together two TEDxUF events in the past two years.

St. Francis students attended the TEDxUF event and were inspired to create and host their own event themed “Dream Big....then Do It.” We all have dreams, whether they are small or BIG! What we do with our dreams of who we want to be, of what we want to do, or of where we want to go in life defines our passion.

Donations will be collected for children, teenagers, and young adults who have developmental disabilities to attend a six-day, recreational and residential summer camp organized by the Diocese of St. Augustine. The St. Francis Junior Civitan club (a service club) is hosting a TEDxYouth PhotoVoice Contest, in which the public can submit photos of things and places that they would like to change or improve in the Gainesville community. The goal of this project is to empower youth to become actively involved in community change efforts in Gainesville.
