The theme of TEDxUEW 2025, "The Show Must Go On," reflects human perseverance in the face of adversity and the strength we can find within ourselves to continue despite difficulties. It is a tribute to determination, hope, and the daily struggle to uphold our values.
Through this theme, we explore individuals who, despite professional, personal, or global obstacles, have not given up on their pursuits. These are stories of individuals who, despite setbacks, keep getting back up and see crises as beginnings rather than ends. The theme also attempts to understand what drives a person to act when everything around them says, "Give up."
The theme covers a wide range of topics, including art, science, technology, and social activism. It demonstrates that "the show" is not just the stage - it is our everyday life, relationships, dreams, and actions. Its "must go on" does not mean masking weaknesses, but rather acknowledging them while deciding to move forward despite them.
"The Show Must Go On" is, in essence, a story about solidarity, empathy, and lifting each other up, both individually and as a community.
