Think Sustainably.”, this gathering of minds celebrates the powerful intersection of natural beauty, sustainable thinking, and bold new ideas.

Part of the vibrant Glenbeigh Summer Festival, TEDxGlenbeigh invites locals and visitors alike to explore how nature can guide us toward more conscious, creative, and regenerative ways of living and working. From eco-innovation and climate action to personal growth and community resilience, our speakers will spark conversations rooted in place and pointed toward the future.

This inaugural event marks the beginning of a unique TEDx stage set against one of Ireland’s most breathtaking landscapes. TEDxGlenbeigh isn’t just a talk series. It’s a movement for those who believe that inspiration can grow where mountains meet the sea.

Debbie Reynolds

Entrepreneur, Eco-warrior and Tree Lover

She is a founding member of Local Roots, a community led native Irish tree nursery based in Cromane, co.Kerry with a focus on environmental conservation and community development. By collecting native tree seeds locally, growing and giving trees back to the community, they are addressing both environmental and social needs. One of the projects Local Roots is leading is the Acorn Quest - growing the smartest Oak in Kerry’s primary schools. Students are given an Oaky Pod in which an acorn suspends in a jar with water. The students can observe and learn more about the stages of growth an acorn goes through with the help of worksheets provided by the Tree Council of Ireland.
