For the first time, Hochschule München will host a TEDx event – and we couldn’t be more excited!

Under the theme “Learning for a Responsible Life,” TEDxHM 2026 brings together professors, staff, and students to share powerful ideas, personal insights, and bold visions for the future. This isn’t just about academic knowledge — it’s about life lessons, failures, breakthroughs, and the kind of learning that shapes who we are and how we live together.

From campus to community, from classroom to conscience — join us as we explore what it means to learn responsibly, to teach boldly, and to live meaningfully.

🎤 Talks. Ideas. Inspiration.
🧠 By us. For all.

Let’s learn — and unlearn — together.

Dan Ariely

Social Scientist & Professor
Dan Ariely is one of the world’s leading voices in behavioral economics, known for uncovering the hidden forces that shape our decisions — from why we cheat to why we overpay. A bestselling author (Predictably Irrational, The Honest Truth About Dishonesty), TED speaker, and professor at Duke University, Dan’s work blends rigorous science with profound humanity. Having survived and grown through personal tragedy, he brings unique insight into pain, motivation, and meaning — and why humans, at their core, are predictably human.

Guy Katz

Professor & Positivizer
Prof. Dr. Guy Katz is a business professor, pilot, and lifelong challenger of the status quo. Born in Israel and based in Munich, he combines academic insight with real-world action — whether training executives in behavioral negotiation, organizing mass events against antisemitism, or flying CEOs across Europe for in-flight interviews. A tuba-playing optimist and founder of TEDxHM, Guy believes that to make a difference in the world, you need to stand out — sometimes loudly.
