This event occurred on
June 6, 2025

The 2025 TEDxYouth@Semiahmoo event centered around the theme Borders and Boundaries, exploring how limits shape and define our lives across multiple dimensions. Through thought-provoking talks, speakers examined the boundaries we encounter personally, such as those related to identity and growth, as well as the political lines that divide nations and ideologies. The event also delved into social boundaries that influence communities and culture, while addressing the impact of technological advancements on the spaces we inhabit and the connections we form. By approaching the theme through personal, political, social, and technological perspectives, the event encouraged audiences to reflect on the visible and invisible lines that influence the way we live, think, and interact with the world.

Binwant Singh

Student Speaker
Meet Binwant Singh, a high school student with the mind of a philosopher, the energy of a squirrel on Wi-Fi, and the uncanny ability to win at rock-paper-scissors like it’s a martial art. When he’s not busy winning rock-paper-scissors, he’s diving into the psychological world of deadlines and how they can actually spark creativity instead of smothering it. His TEDx talk unpacks how time limits can become boosters, not brakes for ideas that would hit harder than Monday mornings. Known amongst his friends for being equal parts cheerful and chaotic, he brings absurd humor, big brain takes, and emotional depth to everything he does, including his TEDx talk. He enjoys exploring new technologies, breaking down big ideas, and somehow making it all seem like an accident. Also, if TEDx ever hosts a masterclass on “Rock-Paper-Scissors Domination,” you already know who would be leading it.
