In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr. Yaqoob Bangash

Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Associate Professor, Department of Governance and Global Studies, Information Technology University of the Punjab.
Dr. Yaqoob K. Bangash is an experienced academic and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. He is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Lecturing, International Relations, Policy Analysis, and Research. Dr. Bangash has a BA from the University of Notre Dame, a DPhil from Oxford, and a Postdoc from Harvard. He is a Fulbright Fellow of Harvard University, a Chevening Fellow of Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, and the British Academy Visiting Fellow of the Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a Historian of Modern South Asia and the Founder of ThinkFest. He is currently serving as the Dean, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and an Associate Professor for the Department of Governance and Global Studies at the Information Technology University.

He has created initiatives like 'Path to Purpose,' helping students uncover their strengths and lead with intention. He is the CEO of UpMotion Tech and the founder of Apollo Talks.

Hina Hafeezullah Ishaq

Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, Co-Chairperson Judicial Water & Environment Commission
Hina Hafeezullah Ishaq is an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and currently serves as the Co-Chairperson of the Judicial Water and Environment Commission, which was established by the Lahore High Court. As a dedicated environmentalist, she has held various positions, including roles at the offices of the Attorney General of Pakistan, the Advocate General of Punjab, and the Senate of Pakistan. Additionally, she has contributed to the Institute of Fashion Design and has led a Legal Aid Trust.

Mariam Khalid Shams

Faculty Member, Forman Christian College University
Mariam Khalid Shams, a.k.a. Dr. Mizahi, is part of the faculty at the School of Management, Forman Christian College, Lahore. She is a Development Economist trained at the University of Manchester and the London School of Economics with a keen interest in Behavioral Economics and Institutional Economics. Mariam has taught at IBA (Karachi), Indus Valley School for Art and Architecture (Karachi), and LUMS Lahore. She has been part of Dawn News, Geo News, Neo News, and Aaj TV network as a specialist consultant on current and economic affairs. Mariam is an avid rider, swimmer, and volleyball player and is part of a husband-wife band, Laqeer Ke Faqeer.

Niaz Hunzai

Musician. Music Teacher, LACAS A-Level Johar Town
Hailing from Hunza, Ustad Niaz Hunzai is often called ‘The Hidden Ustad’. He plays more than 20 instruments, but he is most famous for his mastery of the Rubab. He also teaches music at LACAS A-Level Johar Town. Ustad Niaz has performed all over Pakistan and internationally.

Talha Ali Kushwaha
