Theme: Dare to Bend

By nurturing a culture of exploration and innovation here in Bangkok, Thailand, our goal is to inspire these discoveries into a wider community. The theme for the first-ever TEDx event at ASB Sukhumvit, “Dare to Bend”, embodies this spirit. Our speakers will share ground-breaking ideas that challenge conventional thinking and encourage us to embrace flexibility and adaptability. The impact of our speakers signifies a commitment to bold ideas, innovative solutions, and a willingness to challenge their roles as changemakers in the community. Inspired by an origami, a flat piece of paper that is folded into many shapes/figures that convey specific messages, TEDx ASB Sukhumvit Youth aims to be a catalyst for a change by presenting “ideas worth spreading.”

Jirayut (Topp) Srupsrisopa is the Founder and Group CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd., -Thailand's largest and most trusted company in blockchain technology that stand at the forefront of digital assets innovation in Thailand and the broader ASEAN region. Topp is one of Thailand's leading bitcoin and open blockchain experts with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. He has appeared in over 1,000 engagements across the country such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and Tianjin, China - positioning him as a prominent figure in global finance and blockchain communities. Topp is an Executive Board Member and Vice President at the Thai Fintech Association. He holds an MPhil in Economics at Oxford University. His academic achievements include an Honorary Degree in Digital Economy from Rangsit University, a testament to his pioneering contributions as the youngest recipient of such an honor in Thai history.

Lindsay Harrison

Learning Support Teacher at XCL American School of Bangkok

Lindsay Harrison is a Learning Support Teacher at XCL American School of Bangkok with a Master’s Degree in Education. Having lived outside of the United States- her home country- for almost seven years, she has looked for ways to become an active member of the global community. A motorbike accident in 2020 led her to a deeper understanding of blood types and the critical need for donations in Southeast Asia to support both the local and expat communities. Lindsay hopes not only to help resolve the preventable blood shortage but also to educate others with life-saving knowledge.

Natasha Badenhorst

Performing Arts Teacher at XCL American School of Bangkok

Natasha Badenhorst is a Performing Artist, Creative Specialist, and Performing Arts Teacher at XCL American School of Bangkok. Passionate about the connection between creativity and emotional well-being, she integrates artistic expression into her teaching and workshops, working with individuals of all ages to explore self-discovery and healing through creativity. She facilitates creative play, mindfulness, and sound therapy sessions, guiding people to connect with their emotions through art. Beyond teaching, she explores the relationship between music and emotional healing through her personal projects in Organic House, Ecstatic Dance, and Sound Therapy. By channeling emotions into music production and performance, she advocates for creativity as a powerful tool for personal transformation. Having overcome deep struggles and found renewal in electronic dance music, she is dedicated to inspiring others to embrace their creative voices and the healing potential of artistic expression.

Ponpimon Srisongkram

Public Speaking Coach

K.Ponpimon Srisongkram, or Poppy, holds a dual master’s degree in Global Media and Communication from the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California. As a passionate public-speaking teacher, she is dedicated to creating classrooms where communication and creativity intertwine effortlessly, sparking both insight and imagination. Outside of teaching, Poppy enjoys diving into deep conversations, exploring topics ranging from well-being to philosophy. When she’s not pondering life’s big questions, you’ll likely find her savoring the simple joys of life—whether that’s sharing a cup of coffee with a good friend, reading psychology books, watching her favorite movies, or having one of those meaningful conversations that open up new ways of seeing the world.

Samuel King

Humanities teacher at XCL American School of Bangkok

Mr. Samuel King is a secondary humanities teacher at the XCL American School of Bangkok. Samuel strives to prepare his students for the real world by putting an emphasis on the importance of critical thinking and decision-making skills. Samuel takes part in his school's athletics program by coaching both basketball and volleyball. He additionally oversees the service-learning club "The Youth Project" which allows students to give back to lower socioeconomic communities in Bangkok, Thailand. This year Samuel took it upon himself to draft his school's artificial intelligence policy for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year, while also leading the school's artificial intelligence professional learning community. In this role, he has emphasized and lobbied for the adoption of AI into the school in order to better prepare both students and staff for the digitalizing world.
