In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ayaan Chintan Shah

Student, The Scindia School, Gwalior
Ayaan Shah is a student at The Scindia School. He has engaged in debating and writing, participating in events nationwide. A winner of the Nanhi Chhaan Essay Competition and an author under the Scholastics Young Writers programme, Ayaan has always been enamoured by writing, a passion which he wishes to take forward. He has pursued interests in languages, anthropology, and literature by researching and documenting his surroundings through art, poetry, machine learning, and design. Hailing from Mumbai, his city remains the inspiration for several of his projects, and indulging in the diverse art and cultural scene remains a special pleasure.

Bharat Vir Wanchoo

Former Governor - Goa Former Director, Special Protection Group (SPG)
Bharat Vir Wanchoo belongs to the 1976 batch of the Indian Police Service from the West Bengal Cadre. He was a founding officer of the Special Protection Group and became its Director in 2004, serving for seven years until his retirement in 2011. In 2012, Mr. Wanchoo took charge as the Governor of Goa and has been regarded as one of the best governors the state has ever had. He was awarded the Indian Police Medal in 1993 and the President’s Police Medal in 2001.

Harshwardhan Dhanwatey

Conflict Resolutionist
Harshwardhan Dhanwatey is the co-founder, trustee, and president of the Tiger Research and Conservation Trust, and a Conservation Conflict Resolutionist. He is an alumnus of the Smithsonian Institution, DC, and also a proud alumnus of The Scindia School, Gwalior, Batch of 1985, Shivaji House. He is the recipient of the ‘Carl Zeiss Roll of Honour - 2024' for the protection of wildlife. He is also the recipient of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Jivdaya Samman Patra, 2010, Ahmedabad, for outstanding work in the field of wildlife conservation.

Ishaan Chokhani

Student, The Scindia School, Gwalior
Ishaan Chokhani is a 17-year-old student of Commerce at The Scindia School. He balances academics with diverse interests in business, politics, public speaking, and drama. As the key speaker at the 2024 Founder's Day, he presented the school's Fort Biosphere and Wildflower Meadow projects to his Highness J.M. Scindia and Dr. S. Somanath, former Chairman of ISRO. An award-winning participant in Model United Nations and culinary competitions, Ishaan has also interned at AdmissionIndia, contributing to marketing operations. Currently, he serves as an editor for the school's Yearbook, showcasing his creativity and leadership skills.

Rohit Sipahimalani

Chief Investment Officer, TEMASEK
Rohit Sipahimalani is the Chief Investment Officer of Temasek, an investment company headquartered in Singapore. Prior to joining Temasek in 2008, Rohit spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley, holding senior positions across its Mumbai and Hong Kong offices, before being appointed Managing Director & Head of Southeast Asia Investment Banking in Singapore. Rohit began his career with Citibank and McKinsey & Co. in India. Rohit Sipahimalani graduated in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and earned his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He is a proud alumnus of The Scindia School, Gwalior, and was the school captain from the batch of 1984, Ex-Jayaji.

Sachin Jha

Echnocrat (B.Tech, IIT Delhi
Sachin Jha is a technocrat (B.Tech, IIT Delhi) who runs a chemical manufacturing business in Rajasthan. An avid reader with a synthetic bent of mind, he has authored a book on happiness entitled 'The ordinary, the enchanted, and the quaintly happy. Another book authored by him is a biography of Mr. V.K.Bansal entitled 'It all adds up'. His writing style is one that flirts with humour even as it endeavours to deliver some pertinent messages. Jha also paints in oil and acrylic and has had a few well received exhibitions at The India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. When not writing, he can be found dwelling within his cubicle at Infosys where he started his IT career and is currently working as an Incident Manager.

Sidhivinayak Singh

a strategic consultant, social worker, Artist & Entrepreneur
Sidhivinayak Singh is a strategic consultant, social worker, artist, and entrepreneur who currently heads Village Vigilantes, an ecosystem of enterprises that aims to implement active interventions for achieving welfare goals. He is also a performing artist under the stage name Yayati, which is part of Village Vigilantes and J Block Music Collective. Through Hip-hop and associated arts, he guides at-risk youth toward healthy expression, spreading the message of inclusivity and consciousness. He is a proud alumnus of The Scindia School, Gwalior, from the batch of 2013, Ex-Jivaji.

Vicky Roy

Photographer
Vicky Roy rose from a life of hardship as a ragpicker to become a celebrated photographer. Driven by aspiration, hard work, and determination, he was rehabilitated by the Salaam Baalak Trust and trained in photography at Triveni Kala Sangam under Anay Mann. His solo exhibition, “Street Dream,” debuted at the India Habitat Centre in 2007, supported by the British High Commission. In 2008, he documented the World Trade Center's reconstruction for the Maybach Foundation and trained at the International Center for Photography. His work has been showcased at the Delhi Photo Festival, Vadehra Art Gallery, Houston FotoFest, Kochi-Muziris Biennale, and Asia Society Texas Center. He received the MIT Media Fellowship in 2014 and was listed in Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in 2016.
