In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Fang Lan

Co-founder of critical thinking education organization Project C | Co-author of Learning to Think A graduate of China University of Political Science and Law and Sciences Po Paris, Lan Fang previously served as a senior public policy journalist at Caijing Magazine and Caixin Media. She has long been committed to addressing critical societal issues, including educational equity, labor rights, social mobility, social security, and the rights of marginalized communities. Dedicated to advancing critical thinking education and fostering public rationality, Lan designs transformative curricula that empower younger generations to cultivate independent thinking and sound decision-making skills. In 2015, Lan co-founded Project C, China's pioneer organization in systematic critical thinking curriculum design. Through her work, she strives to empower individuals to lead self-directed, fulfilling lives and contribute to a more rational, diverse, and compassionate society.

Min Su

Su Min is a travel vlogger and the real-life muse behind the film "Like a Rolling Stone." She is the creator of the social media channel "Auntie's Road Trip at 50," which has garnered six million followers across multiple platforms. Over the past four years, Su Min has traversed more than 400 cities in over 20 provinces throughout China. Prior to her journey, Su Min was a typical Chinese homemaker with a modest income. Her life was centered around her family, and she rarely had hobbies of her own. In September 2020, she made a bold decision to leave her home in Zhengzhou, Henan, and embark on a solo road trip in her white Volkswagen Polo. Her inspiring journey caught the attention of The New York Times in April 2021, where she was celebrated as the "Fearless Road Traveler." By September 2024, her story had been adapted into the film "Like a Rolling Stone," which captures the spirit of seeking and building a new life on the road.

Mingpan Li

Graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2001 with a degree in Electronic Engineering, Li worked as a microchip designer in Silicon Valley until a life-threatening intestinal crisis sparked his ecological awakening. In 2008, he abandoned urban life to pioneer "zero-chemical farming"–reviving ancestral wisdom of "harmony between heaven and earth". His "Qianyi Farm", now operating 15 bases across 8 Chinese provinces, demonstrates industrialized ecological agriculture with full-process mechanization and biodiversity protection. Recognized as a "National Ecological Farm" by China's Ministry of Agriculture, the project has attracted 100+ young talents to rural revitalization while supplying toxin-free grains to urban families. Named a "Deputy to Hubei Provincial People's Congress", his work has been featured by CCTV, People's Daily, and over 100 media outlets as a model for China's rural renaissance.

Shusheng Lin

Lin Shusheng, lead creator of Yecaoliao Band and Teochew culture enthusiast. In 2013, he founded the band and embarked on a journey to create music rooted in the folk traditions of the Teochew dialect. After 10 years of evolution, the band released their studio album "Meng Zou" (Charge Forward) in 2024, capturing their artistic growth.

Yiwei CHEN

Chen Yiwei, PhD, is the founder of the public welfare platform "Wonder Sir" for the popular science of genetics and rare diseases. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and obtained a master's and doctoral degree from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. She has 20 years of experience in genetics and gene therapy research and development. In 2016, she initiated the public welfare platform "Wonder Sir" for the popular science of genetics and rare diseases, and cooperated with dozens of clinical experts in the field of rare diseases to serve nearly 100 rare disease patient organizations in China; in 2018, she published the popular science bestseller "A Cartoon History of Genestics", and won the 2020 "Guokr Science Contribution Award" , and the 2022 Rare Disease Industry Contribution Award of "Golden Snail Award",which is one of the most influential scientific communication and education platforms in the field of rare diseases in China. Now she is the initiator of the Chinese Self-Destructive Syndrome (LNS) Diagnosis and Research Alliance, the Secretary-General of the Orphan Drug Branch of the China Biomedicine Industry Chain Innovation and Transformation Alliance, the Director of the Shanghai Rare Disease Prevention and Treatment Foundation, the Director of the Shanghai Debo Butterfly Baby Care Center, the Academic Committee Member of the "China Clinical Case Results Database", the Genetics and Reproduction Professional Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, the Committee Member of the Genetics and Developmental Diseases Branch of the China Medical and Health International Exchange Promotion Association, and the Clinical Genetics and Genetic Counseling Committee of the Shanghai Genetics Society. In 2022, she was selected as a "Ginkgo Partner"; in 2023, she became a senior researcher of the global "Health Equity" initiative project; in 2024, she was awarded the first batch of Shanghai Natural Science Research Series Science and Technology Communication Professional Researcher (senior title).
