TEDxTASISEnglandYouth is a student-organized event that brings together young innovators, thought leaders, and changemakers to share ideas worth spreading. Under the theme "Pioneers of Tomorrow," our speakers—students, educators, and parents—will explore the bold ideas, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future. This event provides a platform for youth to amplify their voices, inspire change, and engage in meaningful discussions that spark new possibilities. Through engaging talks and fresh perspectives, TEDxTASISEnglandYouth empowers students to think critically, express themselves confidently, and contribute to the global conversation.

Aditya Agrawal

TASIS England Student
Aditya is a Grade 10 student with a passion for traveling the world and meeting new people. Having lived in five different countries, he values the richness of diverse experiences and believes that meaningful connections can be made anywhere. In his TED talk, Aditya explores how travel shapes perspective and touches on the importance of addressing global poverty. He lives by the words of Rod McKuen: “Strangers are just friends waiting to happen.”

Aidan Gomez O'Brien

Aidan is a Grade 5 student who loves basketball and plays for his school team. He believes in the power of resilience and wants everyone to remember to never give up, no matter the challenge. In the future, Aidan hopes to become a lawyer so he can stand up for others and make a difference in the world.

Ali Kennedy

Librarian
Ali is the Librarian, a TASIS Leadership Academy Facilitator, and a House Tutor, with a deep passion for student wellbeing and inclusivity. With a background in academic libraries, she found her true calling in school settings, having worked in Scotland, Rome, Ascot, and now at TASIS England, supporting students across the American and IB curricula. Honours listed for the School Library Association's School Librarian of the Year Award in 2018, she went on to serve as Vice Chair and Chair of the SLA Board, as well as on local branch and book award committees. Ali is committed to bridging literacy and digital divides by championing equity of access to information. She advocates for the modern role of librarians as essential guides in an age overflowing with information. In her own words: "I do not know everything, but I sure do know how to find it." Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, advanced knitting, and the thrill of a good escape room.

Amelle Stokes

Amelle is a Grade 5 student with a passion for health and cooking plant-based foods. She is especially interested in helping people eat healthier and understand how food choices affect their well-being. Through her TED talk, she hopes to inspire others to make more mindful decisions about what they eat. One day, Amelle dreams of becoming a chef and sharing healthy, delicious meals with the world.

Ariyana Shah

Ariyana Shah is a fifth grade student who is passionate about reducing hunger globally and is inspired by Gandhi's famous quote, "The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed." Since she was a toddler, Ariyana loves to buy meals for homeless people she passes on the streets of London and make elderly people smile at care homes she visits with her family. In her free time, she is a keen baker and chef and enjoys acrobatic dancing, horse riding and exploring new places around the world. Ariyana invites us all to take small steps in our own lives to reduce world hunger and provides some solutions to address the current causes.

Artem Sokirko

TASIS England Student
Artem is a Grade 10 student with a passion for sports, business, marketing, and building with LEGO. A dedicated karate athlete for 11 years, he has competed internationally, winning 115 medals and 8 cups, and nearly achieved the title of Master of Sport. He also launched a small business that helped him overcome the fear of earning and taking initiative. He hopes to inspire others to take their first steps, embrace failure as a tool for growth, and build confidence through action. His dream is to become an entrepreneur in the logistics industry, combining invention with impact.

Elodie Vinton

TASIS England Student
Elodie is a Grade 5 student who is passionate about protecting the planet and raising awareness about climate change. Inspired to take action, she adopted a snow leopard through the WWF to support wildlife conservation. In her TED talk, Elodie hopes to encourage others to start helping too, because saving the planet starts with all of us, one step at a time.

Lila Greez

TASIS England Student
Lila is a Grade 10 student with a deep passion for women’s rights, equitable education, and neuro-diversity advocacy. She is the vice president of her school’s Women in STEM club and helped lead a fundraiser that raised $200 to support extracurricular STEM opportunities for underprivileged children. Outside the classroom, she plays lacrosse, acts in school plays, and enjoys listening to music and playing guitar. Through her TED talk, she hopes to reassure others that feeling “less than” is a common experience, and that everyone, regardless of differences, deserves to feel valued. Her dream is to become a middle school special education teacher who creates a classroom where all students feel safe, seen, and accepted.

Lincoln Gaalswyk

Lincoln is passionate about building confidence in both sports and public speaking. Having recently graduated, their personal word for the year — breakout — reflects a journey of growth and self-expression. He is especially concerned about how many kids struggle with low confidence, and hopes their TED talk encourages others to step forward with belief in themselves. Their dream is to help create a generation of confident, successful young people ready to make their mark on the world.

Matheus Ribeiro Araujo

Matheus is a 5th grade student who loves playing football and basketball. He donates clothes, toys, and books to support people in need in Brazil. He dreams of a world without poverty and believes we must act now to make that vision a reality. One day, he hopes to become an engineer and use his skills to help create a better future for everyone.

Mohamed Alsawah

Mohamed is a Grade 6 student who loves building with LEGO and creating entire LEGO cities. He believes that childhood interests can shape the future and that the toys we once played with might just guide us toward our passions. Through his TED talk, Mohamed encourages everyone to let their inner child lead the way — because sometimes, your future is built one brick at a time.

Omar Ahmed

Omar is a Grade 5 student who is passionate about math, football, basketball, video games, and making the world a better place. One of his proudest accomplishments is creating and delivering a TED Talk. He believes that a good education is a superpower, it helps people learn, grow, and change the world. Through his talk, he hopes to inspire others to support quality education for every child.

Quinn Bagley

Quinn is a Grade 5 student who loves playing sports and creating fun games that everyone can enjoy. He is passionate about showing the world that ADHD is not a curse, but a superpower. Through his TED talk, Quinn hopes people will see the strengths that come with ADHD and celebrate the creativity, energy, and brilliance of those who have it. He believes that in the future, everyone will recognize ADHD as a true superpower.

Rayeez Hoque

Rayeez is a passionate 5th grader who loves politics and is a big Manchester United fan. He was proud to make it to the top 45 in the Children's Prime Minister of the UK competition. His dream is to help erase poverty for good and he encourages everyone to do what they can to make a difference

Temitope Williams

TASIS England Student
Temitope is a Grade 11 student, student ambassador, and co-founder of the school’s Music Club. Deeply passionate about music, leadership, and creative expression, she has completed advanced ABRSM certifications in piano, vocals, violin, and music theory, and is currently preparing for Grade 8—the final level. They are the host of the podcast Pitch Perfect Perspectives and were a lead singer in the school musical War of the Worlds. Temitope believes music builds not just melodies, but mindsets, shaping confidence, resilience, and leadership in young people. Her goal is to advocate for music education as a tool for emotional growth and community transformation.
