Adeeb Rahman
Adeeb Rahman is a senior at Centennial Collegiate with a passion for debating, volunteering, and creative expression. In his talk, Adeeb will discuss kindness; he believes that a lot of people view kindness as a passive virtue, when in actuality, it is a deliberate and impactful choice that has the potential to create unexpected transformation in society. He will share compelling insights into how small and everyday acts of kindness can bridge divisions, create deeper connections, and ignite profound change. Adeeb hopes his talk will leave the audience with a powerful reminder that kindness is more than a virtue – it’s a great force that can revolutionize society.

Ava is a Grade 10 pre-IB student at Aden Bowman Collegiate. Curious and driven, she is passionate about understanding how human behavior influences global systems. Ava has excelled in numerous areas, including school debate, Model UN, and youth advocacy, where she actively supports social justice causes. Her interests span basketball, piano, and volunteering. As a youth with passion for leadership and innovation, Ava will explore how small, seemingly random human decisions can shape larger societal patterns. Through her TED talk, she hopes to inspire youth to understand their potential in creating meaningful change and taking active steps in influencing the future.

Yashasvi Purohit
Yashasvi Purohit (Yace) is a Grade 10 student at Evan Hardy Collegiate in Saskatoon, with a deep passion for economics, business, psychology, and social issues affecting youth. She is a community leader who dedicates her time to mentoring, volunteering, and creating meaningful change. Yace is also deeply interested in entrepreneurship and enjoys pursuing a variety of interests, including chess, singing, badminton, aviation, and debating. She is an active member of an Air Cadets squadron and is on her way to getting published in Windscript Magazine. In her TED talk, Yace combines her passion for economics with her drive to empower others.
Yunjia (Melody) Chen
Yunjia (Melody) Chen is a Grade 12 student at Centennial Collegiate in Saskatoon and a proud SHAD alumni and ambassador with successes in debate and mathematics contests. She is the main editor of CENT yearbook club, national director of the Canadian Youth Volunteering Organization, and director of finance of Lower Mainland Debate Society. Her interests span badminton, art, guitar, and violin. In her speech, Melody will talk about the power of vulnerability and its role in building an inclusive community. Through her speech, Melody aims to remind others of the inherent courage to embrace the worthiness of love and belonging, inspiring them to unlock the keys to meaningful connections and a more fulfilling life.
