Have you ever heard of the term “Overflow”? In computer programming, it refers to an error that occurs when data exceeds the memory capacity of a system. A famous example is the Y2K scare—when fears arose that systems would fail as the year rolled over from 1999 to 2000, exceeding the two-digit format used for storing years. In short, even a single extra value can cause an entire system to crash.
This year’s theme, “Overflow,” draws inspiration from this concept—not just in a technical sense, but as a metaphor for moments when we exceed our own limits or challenge the boundaries of society. What happens when we go beyond what’s expected? Through two sessions, we’ll explore how just one bold idea can overflow the status quo and spark real change.
