Theme: Unmasking the Mundane

In the spirit of ideas change everything, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Achmad Soegiarto, an alumnus of Universitas Airlangga's Faculty of Economics and Business, has served as Chief Strategy Officer in both a state-owned enterprise and a private sector company. His achievements in strategy and innovation have been recognized with the Satyalancana Award from the President of Indonesia and various ICT Awards at national, ASEAN, and Asia Pacific levels. He has also attended executive programs at Harvard Business School, MIT, Kellogg, London Business School, and Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. As an author, Achmad shares his insights on collaboration and disruption in his books, Synergy Way of Disruption (2018) and Synergy Way of Ecosystem Collaboration (2022). At TEDxUniversitasAirlangga 2024, Achmad Soegiarto will discuss "Rise of the Creativepreneur," inspiring the audience to build innovative, creative businesses for the modern era.

Andy Rahman is the founder of Andyrahman Architect, He was a finalist at the World Architecture Festival in Berlin in 2016. He authored the book Natabata II. He is also the creator of the Lego Mosque, Andy Rahman will present how environmentally friendly, locally sourced materials from Indonesia can make architecture in the country more inclusive in the development of smart cities.
