In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ashley Hill

Ashley Hill is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a State Certified Human Trafficking Advocate who believes that with appropriate guidance, steadfast support, and a nurturing environment, individuals can not only thrive but also transform their lives. She is also the Executive Director and Founder of a nonprofit called Magdalena’s Daughters who serves foster youth who are victims of vulnerable to human trafficking. Ashley imagines a world where we stop getting human trafficking wrong and our children can grow up safe.

Julie Marrast

Julie Marrast is a Parent Emotional Healing Coach. She is a Certified Heal Your Life® Coach and the founder of Parenting Through Feeling and the HERO LIFE HAPPY® Experience, Helping parents shift from power struggles to meaningful connection with their children (4 years). Julie is a best-selling author of the book Different Than your parents. She is also a 300+ YYT certified, Vinyasa Yoga teacher, a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, and a Certified Yin Yoga Teacher, and Julie is a Candidate for Certification as a Hand in Hand Parenting Instructor. She also has a diploma from Seneca College, North York, Canada.

Katherine Lo

Katherine founded a mission-driven hospitality company called Eaton Workshop. She is currently directing a feature documentary about the architect Mies van der Rohe.

Tomi Mary Obideyi

Tomi Mary Obideyi, MPH, CHES® is the founder and CEO of Tomi The Encourager, a heart-centered business committed to educating, elevating, and empowering individuals to embrace their most authentic selves. With over seven years of experience, she has inspired audiences through dynamic keynote presentations and evidence-based trainings for school districts, organizations, and companies. Her work addresses themes such as compassion fatigue, mental health, suicide prevention, DEI, servant leadership, and community engagement. Tomi’s passion for mental wellness is deeply rooted in her own journey. Through personalized coaching and peer support, she helps individuals navigate life transitions with confidence, whether stepping into leadership, shifting careers, or pursuing entrepreneurship. Her work centers on uplifting BIPOC communities, with a special focus on women of color, and fostering environments where resilience, self-care, and purpose thrive. Known for her warmth, wisdom, and energy, Tomi is driven by a simple but powerful mission: to ignite hope, cultivate courage, and empower people to rise.
