Theme: Exploring the Unknown

Imagine a time capsule from an expedition, frozen in time with its discoveries stored from a distant past. History repeats itself and the human race's fuel for exploration never ceases, the drive for what is new or understanding what has happened has repeated itself throughout all advancements in the history of the modern world. This edition's theme is about transcending boundaries in the search for something new, unexplored, be it in the physical or metaphysical world. With the world changing at a rapid pace it is often easy to follow what has been established, but what if we were to take a step out of our comfort zone and venture in ideas that have never been brought up in science, personal growth, technology and overcoming obstacles of modern society.

Aline Kabarite

Aline Vianna Barreto Kabarite formou-se como professora em 1985 e em fonoaudiologia na Universidade Estácio de Sá (UNESA) em 1989. Pós graduada em Patologias da Linguagem pela mesma instituição, em Psicomotricidade pela CLAVE e em Psicopedagogia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC), concluiu mestrado em Educação também pela UNESA. Atualmente, é diretora e cofundadora do Instituto Priorit, instituição dedicada à inclusão e desenvolvimento de pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) e outros transtornos do neurodesenvolvimento. Além disso, é autora do livro “A Descoberta de um Filho Autista”, no qual compartilha uma linda história sobre uma família que recebe o diagnóstico de autismo do terceiro filho. Aline também é sócia-administradora da Aba Optimum, empresa especializada em intervenções comportamentais pela Análise Aplicada do Comportamento. Apaixonada pela educação e pelo desenvolvimento infantil também é co-autora em livros especializados nessa área.

Diego Rogério

Diego Rogério é historiador e professor de história, atua na educação básica e tem pesquisa focada nas relações entre Raça, História e Quadrinhos. Também atua como professor e guia em visitas a patrimônios históricos da cidade do Rio de Janeiro.

Instead of selling it, she uncovers why you have already bought it, revealing the ingenious physics behind the lasting design of the BIC pen and the power of asking the right questions.

Laura Soares

In our fast-paced modern world, fear and anxiety have become prevalent. The speakers name is Laura Soares and she is a 16 year old girl from Brazil. She has always taken interest in topics relating to psychology and human behavior and as an empathetic person, she’s often found herself helping those around her emotionally, which is exactly what she hopes to do with her TEDx talk. Through her presentation, she wanted to use her personal experience and knowledge from research to help others manage their stress and deal with their fears in a simple yet effective way.

Marcos Mendanha

Médico, advogado, diretor e professor da Faculdade Cenbrap, onde realiza e coordena estudos, cursos e eventos sobre Psiquiatria e saúde mental do trabalhador há mais de 15 anos. É autor do livro “O que ninguém te contou sobre Burnout” (Editora Mizuno), além de outras obras. É professor convidado de pós-graduações da USP e do Einstein.

Rafael Ávila

Rafael Ávila é CTO e cofundador da Filmaeu, uma startup especializada em replays esportivos. Formado em Engenharia da Computação pela UNIFEI, possui 12 anos de experiência como engenheiro de software e 10 anos como empreendedor. Em sua palestra no TEDx, Rafael compartilha uma reflexão sobre como aprender a apreciar o desconhecido, fazendo comparações com a jornada de uma startup. Ele explora os desafios e as descobertas que surgem ao enfrentar o novo e o incerto no caminho do empreendedorismo.

Renata Jardim is an educator and an archaeologist who loves to bring ideas to life and to foster independent thinking. Passionate about interdisciplinary learning in a disciplinary world, Renata holds an MA in Social History and, an MBA in management and Education as well as a specialisation in Archaeology and Material Culture. She has dedicated her research career to explore how objects shape our identities, relationships, behaviour and mind.
