In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Arman Azad is an 18-year-old aspiring artist who views life as a canvas, aiming to turn every moment into a masterpiece through his passion for photography and videography. Over the past three years, he has evolved from a school-going dreamer into a well-known and award-winning photographer and videographer, while also actively engaging in community-building activities and efforts. Arman's work extends beyond mere documentation, becoming a catalyst for social change by capturing the essence of diverse subjects, and constantly telling untold stories. From working with clients like Chunkz and Sean Garnier, to leading THIMUN’s Press Team, Arman has had his say in several fields of press, while simultaneously teaching and mentoring students in his journey. While the pen is mightier than the sword, in Arman’s world his camera is mightier than all.

Being a fan of research and public speaking, Ahmed has been extremely keen on doing MUN, debates and scientific research with collaboration of multiple universities since year 8. With vast experience , he hopes to spread a message about a fault he sees in people and hopes to cure it as much as possible.

Nour Mohamed

Facing Your Fears
Nour Ahmed is a 12-year-old gymnast within Qatar Gymnastics Federation Team. She has competed in multiple international competitions for gymnastics and even more within Qatar. This will be the second time that she is going to speak on TEDx. Last year, she was a poem reciter but this year she will be a speaker. The first time she went on stage was 4 years ago as a host of a school concert. She aims to be the owner of a school that introduces a new learning system for children. This new system will be based on learning through gaming and fun.

Salomé Corte-Real

Salomé Corte-Real has excelled as both a Photography Teacher and Photographer, with her career starting at Portugal's Escola Artística Soares dos Reis. She later expanded her horizons, working on diverse projects in Qatar, including the Light Me Lusail Festival and corporate headshots for notable clients. Despite her success in photography, Salomé's passion for education remains strong, as she currently pursues a PhD investigating the evolving role of photography in shaping identities. Her work bridges theory and practice, offering insights that can inform pedagogical approaches and deepen our understanding of photography as an art form. This synopsis showcases Salomé's journey and research focus, making her an ideal candidate for a TEDx talk, where she can highlight the transformative potential of photography in education and society.
