Theme: "Dream It, Change It"

TEDxENKA Youth comes together with the theme "Dream it, Change it". As the world is rapidly changing, we believe that individuals and societies have the power to shape this change. That's why we've tackled the most important issues of our time, such as education and technology, sustainability, cultural interaction, and digital obesity.

How is education evolving with the new capabilities of technology? How can sustainability be supported through individual and collective awareness? Can cultural interaction be the key to creating shared values in a globalized world? How does information consumption in the digital age affect the individual if it is not consciously managed?

TEDxENKA Youth aims to provide participants with different perspectives through expert speakers, artistic performances and inspiring ideas. Imagine, change and let's build the future together.

Alp Köksal

Director of Khan Academy TR

He attended high school in the United States and graduated from Koç University, Department of Business Administration. He received his master's degree from Boğaziçi University, where he graduated first in his class, and began his doctoral studies at the Department of Political Science and International Relations. He is the head of Khan Academy Turkey, which provides education to over 150 million registered students in 190 countries. He has also served as the General Manager of STFA Group's Education Foundation. Köksal has contributed to national and international projects in the fields of education, technology and social responsibility, and was deemed worthy of the TOYP "Service to Humanity and Voluntary Organizations" Award and nominated for the first place in the world. He is the term representative of Koç University Alumni Association and a member of the Executive Sector Board of Turkish Informatics Association and continues to serve as a board member in various NGOs.

Emrah Kozan

CEO of Pixel Academy

Emrah Kozan was born in Ankara on March 13, 1986. He completed his primary education in Çamyuva and high school in Kemer High School (YDA Foreign Language High School). He completed his university education at Ahi Evran University, Computer Programming Department, graduating with the third class. He started his career at Bilge Adam Informatics Group and worked in various positions in Istanbul for four years. Then he returned to Antalya and founded Piksel Akademi and focused on project and training activities in the field of informatics. He also played an important role in the organization of informatics events. For example, he curated the Mediterranean Informatics Summit and founded the Design Thinking Turkey Summit. He also wrote a book on Design Thinking, which is taught as a reference book in 15 different universities, and participated as a speaker in many events.

Jeroen Demoen

Artist

Born in 1972 in Ghent, Belgium, he first studied art and then decided to specialize in tourism. In 1994, he settled in Sakarya and worked with his wife in the design and production of toys. Known for their participation in export and foreign fairs, he became interested in marble art 10 years ago and has been working professionally in this field for 2 years. In addition to the traditional marbling technique, he shows a different approach by using Japanese "Suminagashi", Western "marbling" and their own techniques. He has also rediscovered his interest in sculpture and creates sculptures using materials such as aluminum and marble. While preparing for exhibitions abroad, he prefers to organize an exhibition in Sakarya first because he wants to emphasize his love and devotion to this city.

Kenan Eren

Psychiatrist

Kenan Eren was born in 1966 in Trabzon. He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. He completed his specialization in adult psychiatry at Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital in 2006. He wrote his thesis on schizophrenia. He has worked as a psychiatrist in institutions such as SSK Tekirdağ Hospital, Bolu Mental Health Diseases Hospital, Bakırköy RSHH AMATEM, Eyüp State Hospital. In the process of completing his specialization, he received training in sexuality, psychotherapy, personality disorders, anxiety, cognitive theories and therapy. He participated in congresses in Austria, Spain and San Diego. His article has been published in General Psychiatry. Organized seminars on addiction. Between 2014-2021, he worked as a faculty member at Yeni Yuzyıl University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology. Currently, she continues to work in her own clinic.

Meltem Turhan Yöndem

She received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from METU Computer Engineering Department. Her Ph.D. thesis was titled "Investigation of the Relationships of Multiple Criteria in Turkish Text Segmentation" under the topic of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing. She has been a faculty member at Middle East Technical University, Birmingham University, Isik University, Sabanci University and Okan University for a long time. Currently, she is the founder of Kartezyen Consulting, which provides consulting services for establishing R&D centers and maintaining European Union projects. She has many completed projects, theses and publications in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Mine Ataman

Agriculture Writer

Mine Ataman, the owner of an exuberant life left over from a complicated career path, is the author of First Table in Heaven and The Rootedest of the City. She has been educated in fields such as economics, archaeology, brand management, and human resource management. She has participated in the agri-food ecosystem as a professional manager, consultant and entrepreneur. The author, who provides consulting services related to agriculture and food, also produces and participates in television programs on agriculture/food/climate issues. She has taught recreation management and agricultural history at various universities and is currently a contributing writer for Dünya Newspaper and Tarımdan Haber. Ataman, who is the founder of Meci Turkey Initiative / Seed Platform, gives conferences on many topics such as "We will be born from our molecules, does the metaverse feed us, the boat of civilization".
