Our speakers, a diverse assembly of innovators, activists, and thought leaders, will share their insights and stories of change. They will illustrate how small initial actions can create a collective purpose to unlock positive impact at scale in our communities and the environment.

Alice Yu Yuebo

Founder at Mama on Palette
Alice Yu Yuebo is the founder of Mama on Palette, Singapore’s first community for mothers who love art and a registered non-profit society. She’s set to help mothers achieve better mental health through art practices, and foster meaningful collaborations among communities for greater impact. In the past five years, this community has inspired hundreds of mothers, emboldening them to boldly pursue their passion for art and confidently showcase their work through the various opportunities and platforms .

Anne Langourieux

Founding Member & Leader, The Matcha Initiative
Living in Asia for more than 20 years, Anne had 2 professional lives, first in the digital & e-commerce business world and then in the humanitarian NGO world. The Matcha Initiative is a bridge between those 2 worlds. Leading the project, Anne admires its volunteers hard-work and generosity to share their expertise & experience, their knowledge, and their own journeys towards sustainability.

Carolin Barr

Founder at Susgain
Carolin is a passionate and driven entrepreneur and sustainability advocate. She is involved in many projects and initiatives that contribute to reducing our environmental impact. In 2020, Carolin founded the social enterprise susGain. susGain is a rewards-based engagement app that focuses on driving behavioural change within communities (corporates, schools, NGOs etc.) whilst measuring ESG reportable data on the impact created. By better connecting the environmentally and socially conscious stakeholders, susGain hopes to accelerate the change towards more sustainable communities. Prior to susGain, Carolin worked as Account & Project Manager in an HR consulting and change management firm, where she was responsible for business development and end-to-end project management of training and consulting projects across APAC.

Hester Spiegel-van den Steenhoven

Co-founder at Epic Angels
Hester Spiegel-van den Steenhoven is an entrepreneur with international experience as a leader in blue chip companies. Before starting her own companies, she had more than 15 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deutsche Bank. Hester pivoted her career and brought the modern education system and coding school ‘42’ to Germany. In support of this venture, she raised double-digit millions from the country’s largest company and foundation, hired teams and found the route to market. Living in Singapore since 2020, Hester co-founded and runs Epic Angels, the largest all-female angel investor collective investing in Asia. She is venture partner at the venture capital firm Kaizenvest and supports many startups as a mentor and advisor for renowned accelerators. In her roles as the founding and managing partner of Epic Angels, mentor and advisor, Hester sees on average 100 startup founders and ideas every month.

Jamus Lim

Associate Professor in Economics
Jamus Lim is an associate professor of economics at ESSEC Asia Pacific and a member of the 14th Parliament of Singapore, representing Sengkang. Previously, he was the chief economist of the ThirdRock Group, an investment management and wealth advisory, a lead economist at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority–where he oversaw economic inputs underlying tactical and strategic asset allocation for the sovereign fund's multi-hundred-billion dollar portfolio–and before that, a senior economist with the World Bank, where he led a number of initiatives on macroeconomic forecasts, along with analysis of trade, finance, and governance issues in East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. His research expertise and interests lie at the intersection of international macro-finance, political economy, and development economics,
