In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Afreen Hyder

Afreen Hyder (born 2000) is an Indian taekwondo practitioner from Srinagar, Kashmir, India. She has been an All-India Rank 1 holder and has previously been ranked among the top 100 female Taekwondo athletes in the world. As of December 30, 2023, she is ranked 200th in the senior division women's 62 kg World Kyorugi rankings. Hyder is the first female taekwondo athlete from Kashmir. She represents Jammu & Kashmir in national and international competitions, and was the first taekwondo sportswoman to do so at the time. She won her first ever medal at the national level in 2010. She won a silver medal at the 2022 Senior National Taekwondo Championship, which took place in Maharashtra from the 10th to the 12th of February 2022. She won a bronze medal at the 2023 Senior National Taekwondo championship.

Aishwarya Sridhar

Aishwarya Sridhar is an Indian wildlife photographer, wildlife presenter, and documentary filmmaker residing in Navi Mumbai. She is the youngest girl to have won the Sanctuary Asia- Young Naturalist Award and the International Camera Fair. Award. In 2020, Aishwarya became the first Indian woman to win Wildlife Photographer of the Year award. She is also a member of the State Wetland Identification Committee appointed by the Bombay High Court. Her works have been featured in BBC Wildlife, The Guardian, Sanctuary Asia, Saevus, Hindustan Times, Mumbai Mirror, Digital Camera, Mathrubhumi and Mongabay. Her debut film;Panje-The Last Wetland; was highly acclaimed and was telecast on DD National. Her second film,The Queen of Taru ; is based on the life of the most iconic and photographed wild Bengal Tigress named Maya from the forests of Central India.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar

Sanjay Kumar is well known Indian political analyst and psephologist, Professor of Politics and former Director of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) in New Delhi, India. He has published several books and articles on politics, including "Elections in India,The Indian Election: A Guide." Dr. Kumar has served on numerous boards and committees, including the National Statistical Commission and the National Commission on Standards of Governance. His primarily areas of interest are electoral politics, political mobilization, Indian youth and Indian democracy. He has conducted research on a wide range of themes, including state of democracy in South Asia, state of Indian farmers, electoral violence and slums of Delhi.

Faisal Ahmed

Prof. Ahmed has fifteen years of experience as an academic, researcher and consultant. He held the position of consultant to United Nations and other organisations. He is frequently invited as a Speaker, Panelist and resource Person by institutions and think tanks in India and abroad. He has published several research papers, book chapters, and monographs. He is the author of textbook Business Environment: Indian and Global Perspective published by Prentice-Hall (PHI).

Deputy Head and Senior Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations ESCAP South and South-West Asia Office. His work focuses on promoting economic development and sustainable growth in the region. He has been working with the United Nations since 2012 and has held various positions in different offices before joining ESCAP.

Vidhya Nair

Dr. Vidhya Nair is someone who finds passion in healing an individual’s mind. She, rhapsodically advocates self-love. She's a Neuro-Psychotherapist, who freelances mental health tips to the world, to spread informed awareness all around. We would be inviting her to speak on the topic- enlighten people towards normalcy of mental health issues.
