In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Max has remained just as committed to music while working in private equity and as he now pursues an MBA at Stanford. Prior to Stanford, Max served as the Assistant Conductor and Board Member of the Temple Hill Symphony, a nonprofit community orchestra based in Oakland. Max is continuing his music education at Stanford, taking classes in conducting and playing cello in the Stanford Philharmonia. Outside of classical music, Max loves setting ambitious goals for himself like seeing every country in the world, reading hundreds of books each year, and supporting animal welfare (all while listening to music, of course!). Some of Max’s favorite musical artists include Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Shostakovich, Lord Huron, Phoebe Bridgers, and Phillip Glass.
