In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Amrita Renduchintala

Amrita Renduchintala is a high school student from Farmington, Michigan. When she isn’t sleeping or engrossed in schoolwork, she can be found sketching on her iPad, listening to music, or reading books on the couch. Having discovered a love for biology, she hopes to pursue a healthcare career in the future.

Anthony Rogers

Anthony Rogers, born in the late 1900s, realized his life's passion during his mid-30s after a particularly tumultuous life event. He is constantly looking for small ways to inspire people and, when not poring over legal mortgage documents or fiendishly posting memes on social media, can be found gaming or wandering the natural world with his family. He has a wonderful wife and three brilliant children, loves music and movies, and cannot draw to save his life.

Ari Rogers

Ari Rogers is a sophomore at Farmington High School. She plays the flute in the FHS Marching Band and is an avid poet. She wants to tell stories that are often unheard and is constantly working on improving as a poet and overall human being. She has two siblings who she gets along with (most of the time) and is a proud geek.

Aurel Chatterjee

Aurel Chatterjee is a sophomore at Farmington High. She is a little bit of a procrastinator, and you can find her reading or baking in her spare time. As someone who does a little bit of everything, she finds joy in exploring new parts of her culture and her life. Just like her last name, she loves to talk, leading her to pursue public speaking and do a TED talk!

Chris Palmer

Chris Palmer is a Hockey Mental Performance Coach for pro and amateur players in the NHL, AHL, College, Juniors, and Tier 1 Youth Hockey across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. He describes his work as coaching “heart, head, and guts,” building confidence, mental toughness, team unity, and compete level intensity. He says the biggest thing holding people back is instinctive doubt, worry, and fear. He coaches athletes to manage those distractions to get what they want on the ice and in their lives.

Jenn McKee

Jenn McKee is a freelance writer (and part-time library minion) whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, Good Housekeeping, Shondaland, The Writer, American Theatre, Hour Detroit, Scary Mommy, and more. She spent nearly a dozen years working as a staff arts reporter at The Ann Arbor News and earned an MFA in creative writing from Penn State, where she also taught courses as an adjunct. She has two daughters, two cats, and one husband (whom she met while playing in Michigan Marching Band's trombone section).

Makenzi Funderburg Miley Myers-Kyles

Makenzi Funderburg and Miley-Myers Kyles are both juniors at Farmington High School. However, like all students, they are unique individuals with unique learning styles. As they have both moved around a lot in their life, they have learned what it means to shape education to fit your learning style and how that can change your story, and in turn, change the future.

Niharika Prabhu

Niharika Prabhu is a sophomore at Farmington High School. Niharika loves to read self help books, she enjoys a good run, hanging out with friends and baking for her family. She is an aspiring healthcare professional and hopes to practice medicine throughout the world as a part of the doctors without borders organization.
