Our TEDx team is proud to present an evening of talks related to the theme 'Internationalism' - these talks will be presented by selected members of our student body and staff members who are excited to share their stories with you. The event will be held in the school Hall, refreshments will be available provided by our catering team.

Aina Muça

Student

Aina Muça is currently in her first year of IB at St Clare’s Oxford. She is interested in the legal sphere and wishes to give back to her home country, Albania, in the future.

David Harris

Maths teacher

David Harris, hailing from Scotland, is the Head of Mathematics and has been teaching at St Clare’s, Oxford since 2006. He also teaches Theory of Knowledge.

Herbie Langtry

Herbie Langtry is a 17-year-old IB2 student of St Clare’s Oxford. He was born in Oxford and attended Oxford Spires Academy before coming to St Clare’s in 2022, and has for a long time been fascinated by politics, philosophy, and how we can build a better world by thinking about the way we think.

James Jacob

History teacher

James Jacobs spent 4 years working for NGOs in Africa, and he is passionate about the value that this can have on a young person's life. After this, he went into education, and is now a history teacher at St Clare's, Oxford.

Pauline Gaucher is currently completing her second year of IB at St Clare's Oxford. She is looking to pursue a career in international diplomacy and is excited to bring to you her talk.

Sixtine Maury is a 17-year-old IB2 student of St Clare’s Oxford. She is from France and began studying in English in Pre-IB, and is excited to share with you her learning journey.

Tharaphi Zaw is currently completing her final year at St Clare’s, Oxford. She is from Myanmar, and is passionate about the role that economics plays in shaping our society.
