Ansh Sethi

Student Interested in Mathematics and Science
My name is Ansh Sethi. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading about the world around me. I am fascinated by artificial intelligence and its uses so I have decided to speak about it. I love mathematics and science and want to see the possible impacts of AI on these fields. I also want to explore how AI can help us thrive in these fields and in our everyday lives. I have grown up in a very progressive family and want to see how we can incorporate AI in our management of the world around us both at home, in our schools and in the workplace. I think this paired with my computer science hobby has led me to see the interesting idea behind AI and how AI is something beyond the realm of what we know today as an intelligent machine. My tendency to enjoy philosophy has also prompted me to think about the ethical and philosophical revelations that have arrived with its existence. Hence I would like to explore this topic since it aligns with my interests and strengths.

Hongwen Pu

Student Interested in Mathematics, Computer Science, Language and Literature
Chinese. INFJ/ENFJ. I am passionate about Mathematics and Computer Science, while also enjoying linguistics and literature in my free time. I have experience in mathematical modelling and led our school's participation in the 2023 HiMCM competition. I am also interested in computer science, particularly Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks, and have collaborated with one of my friends studying at Dulwich High School (Suzhou) to complete an academic paper submitted to the conference. I am fascinated by how Mathematics and the real world can be intertwined. The communication language that people are using everyone also piques my interest.

Max Mao

Student interested in Aviation and Engineering
Three topics have intrigued me: aviation, space exploration, and astronomy. Since the age of three, I have been on a relentless pursuit of these interests, utilizing books, websites, museums, forums, flight sims, summer courses, and (most importantly) friends and like-minded individuals in and out of school, from every corner of the world. Out of the three topics aviation stands out, it impacted each and every one of us, to the most significant and beneficial level. I am passionate about sharing knowledge about this area with a wider audience, and TEDx is a fantastic opportunity to do so. 2024 is not the best year for aviation; the first A350 hull loss, a fuselage panel blowing off an Alaskan 737, and quality control concerns over aircraft manufacturers, all the headlines makes it easy to lose trust in aviation. Thus, I crafted my speech around a seemingly insignificant technology within aviation safety, that allowed the industry to thrive in today's world.

Tete Yin

Student Interested in Biology
I am interested in biology, so I would like to introduce you to the topic of cultured meat and discuss its ethical issues

Yilai Zhang

Student Interested in Cosmology
I am very passionate about cosmology, especially the birth of our universe. Therefore I would like to talk about how special our universe is, and talk about the ridiculous number introduced by Roger Penrose.
