Welcome to the first TEDxBSA Youth conference: Becoming...Adults in a Changing World.

We hope to bring together a diverse group of speakers and performers to share their insights, experiences and visions for the future, united under our topic “Becoming adults in a changing world”. From rapidly evolving transformations in politics and AI, to pressing issues in education and climate change, this conference will shine a light on the many challenges faced by the current generation as they transition into adulthood in our dynamic world.

Alma Geva

Alma Geva was born in Israel and raised in the Netherlands. She grew up in the Israeli community in Amsterdam and discovered the importance of a strong community. Today, Alma takes on leadership roles within this community and continues to share her passion and experiences with others. She is a dedicated leader and advocate for the power of community. Alma believes in the transformative impact of community in addressing some of humanity’s greatest challenges, including loneliness, loss of purpose and societal distractions.

Amalia d'Aquino di Caramanico

Amalia d’Aquino is an Italian student at the British School of Amsterdam, who was born in Italy, and has lived in Amsterdam since a young age. Amalia is highly motivated to make a positive change amongst young adults, and challenges the audience to break free from the invisible chains of digital addiction and rethink the relationship with the online world.

Ankur Dalal

Chief Architect: ABN AMRO Bank
Ankur Dalal is a result oriented hands-on leader with 20+ years of cross industry global experience, with thought leadership in customer experience, ecosystem architecture and value driven business models. He is an active trend follower and an evangelist that bring in cross industry perspectives to generate data driven business models and enables new dimension of business performance. A challenger who is eager to push boundaries and make organizations ready for the next wave of change. He is passionate to drive innovative solutions through empowering individuals & team to find the right strategy that fits the business model. Anticipating complexity to be ahead of change factors and challenging status quo to either disrupt or sustain market dominance for companies is one of his key strength.

Ella Bruggink

Ella Bruggink is Dutch and Russian, and is currently completing her A-levels in an International school in Amsterdam. She was born in Dubai shortly before moving to the south of France, where she lived for 8 years and attended a bilingual school. Fluent in 4 languages and having had the immense privilege of visiting 27 different countries by the time she turned 17, Ella is a self-proclaimed world citizen. She observes the world with a critical eye and uses that information to propel her forward in achieving her goals. Taking the lead of a Model United Nations (MUN) Club and bearing responsibility for organising BSAMUNs through the years 2024-2026, Ella seeks to inspire curiosity and stimulate debate among her peers. Ella exudes these values through her other extracurricular commitments such as being Student Council representative, a writer for her school’s humanities journal, and founding the ‘US+ university application preparation Club' in her Senior School. Believing critical thinking and knowledge acquisition is paramount to living a fulfilled life, Ella has already attended a pre-college course on international relations at Columbia University and is admitted into Harvard’s Summer School for high school students for 2025. Ella loves social studies, and is determined to pursue higher education in the fields of political science and international relations.

Evie Hodgson

Evie Hodgson is a passionate young speaker and student at an International School in the Netherlands (the BSA). She is, dedicated to raising awareness about the possible negative impact of social media on the mental well-being of children. Drawing from personal experiences and research, she explores how growing up in a digital world shapes self-esteem, relationships, and mental health. As someone who embraces opportunities, Evie is a successful performer and is an active participant and leader in several school clubs.

Isabelle Dijkhorst

Isabelle is a Dutch-Ukrainian entrepreneur dedicated to driving innovation and global change. With a passion for using technology and business to create a meaningful impact, she has founded multiple startups that have quickly gained traction and industry recognition. Aged just 17, she launched Foundity.com, showcasing her competitive spirit and ambition to build something bigger than herself. She is highly motivated to share her insights, not only through business but also through public speaking to support her mission of solving world problems. With a proven track record, Isabelle is a powerhouse shaping the future of innovation.

Lisa Cesaroni

Lisa Cesaroni is 14-years-old, Italian and currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She stands out for her ambition, hard work and drive, determined to create positive change. With a natural curiosity about the world, she’s passionate about exploring new ideas, particularly in technology, and constantly seeks to challenge herself, as seen in her dedication to both academics and personal development. Lisa embraces new experiences: she is highly motivated to not only understand the complexities of the world around her but also to have a meaningful impact on it. With a sharp mind and a strong sense of purpose, she is ready to take on leadership roles and continue shaping her future in ways that will inspire others.

Lisa Hogg

Founder of Be Brave
Lisa Hogg is South African born and raised, now a long time Amsterdam resident. Lisa is highly motivated to create positive change in the world through strategy and storytelling by challenging your ideals of what strategic impact really is today - both personal and professional. As a natural innovator, skilled and experienced in the implementation of effective management strategies, Lisa will bring bravery to people and processes when it is required most. She has a proven track record spanning all areas of marketing and brand communications. Experience in both agency and client side environments, makes Lisa not only a leader with proven ability and track record to deliver performance outputs, but an impactful motivator and speaker who is driven by making businesses of tomorrow not only successful, but impactful and brave. Lisa likes to refer to herself as a bad ass with brains!

Marcos and Jim Latham

Marcos Latham is a vibrant and curious 14 year old who has grown up in the heart of Amsterdam all his life, born to an American father and a Spanish mother. His unique approach to life is thanks to his exposure to different environments, from his grandparents village in Spain to classic American suburbs to the Amsterdam way of life. Attending the British School of Amsterdam, his love and curiosity for all things - namely Geography, History, and Mathematics - have lead him to be interested in a variety of topics, including technology, new innovations and geopolitics. Whether it's through sports, school activities, or eco-projects, Marcos is committed to make a positive impact wherever he goes. Alongside this, his easy-going nature makes him a natural communicator and he enjoys making conversation with all sorts of people throughout his day to day life, which was truly what inspired him to take part in the TedxBSA event. Jim Latham is a North Carolinian and proud Duke University Blue Devil! He moved to France post-graduation in 1983 and has spent well over 2/3 of his life living in 6 different European countries; most recently, and for the longest period of time, he has resided in The Netherlands. His career journey spans from teaching and playing tennis in Germany during the Boris Becker and Steffi Graf era, to a decade with General Motors (Zurich / Detroit), to an 18-month stint in London working in Formula-1 to Adidas today. Jim’s jobs with Adidas have primarily been in the field of Sports & Brand Marketing and have included stops in Portland and Redlands, California, in addition to the Amsterdam hub. He loves sharing stories that connect milestones and experiences with a cross-cultural and cross-generational growth mindset.

Maria Camarudin Campos

Maria Campos, although Portuguese, has had the privilege of growing up in 4 countries and 2 continents, shaping her unique perspective on identity, belonging, and the meaning of "home." Through storytelling, Maria hopes to challenge the conventional notion of identity and home, and invites her audience to embrace the joy of a life shaped by movement. Whether you're an expat, a third-culture kid, or someone questioning where you truly belong, she aspires to share messages that resonate with the universal search for connection and identity in an ever-globalized world.

Maxim Telegin

Born with an insatiable curiosity, Maxim Telegin has always been on a mission to know more about the world. With a particular interest in mathematics, Maxim has taken on the challenge of educating others about its importance in our daily lives - not just to make Math seem useful but to share his excitement with others. With experience in education, research, and outreach, Maxim seeks to re-imagine how we approach learning and turn frustration into fascination, inspiring a new generation to see the beauty in the patterns of our universe.

Mirjam de Hoon

Practitioner, Sun Kyeong Den Haag
Mirjam de Hoon is a dedicated practitioner at Sun Kyeong in The Hague, where she is part of Master Oh's team. Committed to Sun Kyeong's mission of guiding individuals toward a meaningful, happy, and healthy life, Mirjam emphasizes the importance of Qi—the vibration of life—in her work. Through transformative energy treatments and training, she connects people with themselves, nature, and the universe. Passionate about addressing the mental health challenges faced by today’s youth, Mirjam is actively involved in the Happiness Revolution project. This four-week reset and meditation course of Master Oh is designed to help young people cultivate happiness and a sense of connection in their lives. She recognizes that issues such as depression, anxiety, and chronic health problems often stem from a disconnection from the ‘vibration of life,’ and with Sun Kyeong she empowers individuals to let go of negative emotions while embracing compassion as a guiding principle.

Vritika Dalal

Vritika Dalal is originally from India but has been living in the Netherlands for most of her young life, studying at an International School (The British School of Amsterdam). Whilst growing up in the age of technology and the ever changing social media platforms, Vritika is passionate about understanding the effect a digital era has on communication and relationship patterns. As a student who engages in leadership roles and takes ownership of events both inside and outside of school, Vritika brings support, assistance and creative ideas to enhance the quality of work. Experiences from participating in multiple events - such as Model United Nations and Duke of Edinburgh Award - has not only proven Vritika’s ability to deliver exceptional outputs & influence others but also of being a capable public speaker, who is interested in embracing the power of face to face conversations. In addition, Vritika is an athlete, who takes part in competition swimming, a sport which requires tremendous resilience and strength. She stretches her boundaries, pushing through difficult training sessions, whilst balancing her school life at the same time. Vritika likes to describe herself as a cheetah, one who is alert at all times, either studying, swimming or partying, and always trying her best no matter what.

Yogesh Malik

Chief Technology and Information Officer with major international telco & tech companies
After 15 years in top leadership roles like CEO, COO, Group CTIO and holding Board positions at some of the world’s largest telecommunication companies, working in more than 11 countries & 4 continents across the world, I believe that people with growth mindset, innovation & embracing diversity in its full extent, can make a significant positive impact to our surrounding societal ecosystems. My passion is about building and coaching teams that are hungry, curious, and hardworking, with an aim of developing next generation of tech-savvy talents. I also believe that in order to be relevant in the rapidly changing world, one needs to start with customer use cases, understand deeper technology trends and be able to think outside of the box (clean-sheet approach). Outside of technology, I love cooking vegetarian meals with my family and enjoy macrobiotic way of lifestyle, as it helps make our world a much healthier and a more sustainable place.
