In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Kinyu Chin

Student
Kinyu is a second-grade student at Otsuma Nakano High School. She is trilingual and can speak Japanese, English, and Chinese. She will be talking about a time when she studied abroad in America and participated in a musical in English.

Mio Imuta

Student
Mio is a 2nd-grade student from Otsuma Nakano Junior High School. She lived in Hong Kong and Singapore for around 4 years in total, before she came back to Japan. Today, she will talk about her experiences while she was abroad, and how she learned that regulating her own emotions can help change her environment.

Rio Mizukami

Student
Rio is a first-grade student at Otsuma Nakano High School. She was born and raised in Los Angeles (4 years) and lived in Vietnam, Hanoi for 3 years. Her wall was constantly comparing herself to others, but she has grown and believed in herself by breaking this barrier. Instead of comparing herself to others, she respected others and tried to do her best.

Saori Takada

Student
Saori is a 2nd-grade student from Otsuma Nakano High School. She was born in Shanghai and lived there for 12 years. Last year, when she was in her first year of high school, she enrolled in a one-year study abroad program in America. Today, she will be talking about how she overcame the cultural wall while studying abroad.
