In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, we bring to you TEDxYouth@WBS, curated by Atharva Agarwal, a Grade 12th Student of Welham Boys' School Dehradun. This will be the fifth edition of TEDx at Welham.

This year, the speakers amidst us are not just individuals with remarkable accomplishments; they are torchbearers of inspiration, each with a unique perspective, story, or insight that has the potential to resonate with minds young and old. From the fields of science and technology to art, social justice, and beyond, these talks are a testament to the diversity and dynamism of the ideas that the youth of today bring to the forefront.

Spiritual guide and Accomplished author
Manisha initiated her profound spiritual journey at the tender age of five, immersing herself in the practice of meditation. By the age of ten, she was already imparting the transformative RISE Meditation to friends, laying the foundation for her role as a spiritual educator. In her twenties, she expanded her teachings, encompassing spiritual and metaphysical parenting classes. As a prolific author, she has embraced the unique challenge of writing #onebookeverymonth since January 2018, directing all proceeds towards noble humanitarian causes. Holding degrees in science, finance, and metaphysical science, she proudly founded the "WALK INDIA MOVEMENT" in January 2023, dedicated to fostering national well-being through the promotion of walking for good health.


Entrepreneur, and fitness enthusiast
Reeti Sahai, a dynamic entrepreneur, and fitness enthusiast, combines her passion for running, coaching, and mountaineering to inspire individuals to achieve their fitness goals. With over a decade of experience in leading organizations, Reeti is recognized for her high-energy facilitation and impactful contributions to leadership development and team effectiveness. Armed with an MBA and certifications in MBTI and FIRO, she seamlessly navigates both structured and ambiguous environments, demonstrating versatility in her approach. As the founder of @runwithreeti, a thriving running community in the NCR region, she dedicates herself to mentoring and training individuals to conquer marathons and adopt a holistic approach to well-being. Reeti's philosophy revolves around a comprehensive model of organizational transformation, emphasizing competency frameworks, balanced scorecards, and talent management systems to achieve lasting success.

Ruchii Badola

Conservation Activist
Ruchi Badola is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental conservation, community development, and research. Holding a master’s in economics from Garhwal University, Ruchi has been a dedicated member of the Wildlife Institute of India since 1988, specializing in ecological economics and valuation of ecosystem services. As a faculty member in the Department of Ecodevelopment Planning and Participatory Management, she has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing training programs for state forest departments, focusing on community participation in biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihoods. Ruchi's research projects delve into ethnobiology, the socioeconomics of natural ecosystems, and conflict resolution over natural resources, showcasing her commitment to biodiversity conservation and human well-being. With expertise in gender issues in conservation, Ruchi Badola continues to make significant contributions to the field.

Simranjeet Sethi

Media Advisor
Sir is a 28-year-old media enthusiast with a background in law. Despite obtaining a law degree, he discovered his true passion for media and communication. With a diverse educational background, including expertise in media laws, international affairs, and geopolitics, Mr. Sethi provides valuable insights on social media issues. Beyond his role as an advisor, sir is actively involved in mentoring activities within the media industry. He collaborates with numerous startups and agencies, offering communication and brand strategy guidance. His commitment to sharing his knowledge and skills contributes to the growth and development of emerging talents in the field. This personal aspect adds depth to his character, showcasing a well-rounded individual with a blend of professional expertise and personal values.

Vicky Roy

Vicky Roy's journey from a challenging background as a former rag picker to a renowned photographer is marked by significant milestones. In 2007, he triumphed with a compelling solo exhibition, "Street Dream," at the India Habitat Centre, showcasing his transformative photographic talent. The following year, Vicky's international recognition soared as he was selected by the US-based Maybach Foundation to document the World Trade Center reconstruction in New York. His noteworthy contributions continued with the publication of his first monograph, 'Home Street Home,' at the Delhi Photo Festival in 2013, shedding light on crucial social realities. The MIT Media Fellowship in 2014 further affirmed his impact and excellence in documentary photography, culminating in his recognition in the 2016 Forbes Asia 30 under 30 list, underscoring his influential contributions to the global photography community.
