In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adrian Fellers

Student
Adrian Fellers is a Senior at Moreau Catholic High School whose priorities in life are creating and trying new things, building new relationships and living life for the main purpose that sometimes, it's pretty cool. He plans to focus his future efforts in the computer science field, creating modifications for some of his favorite video games which have been viewed by thousands of people and received great reviews. Aside from that, Adrian also takes a interest in music composition and digital art mediums, hoping to create spectacular work that others will be fascinated by and enjoy.

Aishwari Sirur

Aishwari Sirur is a senior at Moreau Catholic High School interested in advocating for the presence of women and POC in tech. Curious about coding from a young age, she always found joy in creating her own projects ranging from finals grade calculator to a robot labyrinth navigator. Beyond that, Aishwari is also secretary-treasurer for Moreau's Women in Coding Club which is currently aiming to encourage Engineering and CS interest through mentorship programs with college students who are a part of the Society of Women Engineers Club. As a prospective computer science major, she hopes to always speak up and use her voice as a platform to discuss equity in tech.

Angelica Chavez

Angelica Chavez is a Moreau Catholic senior of Mexican and Bolivian descent. She takes advantage of her leadership opportunities of being captain of the swim team and being on Link Crew to help be an encouraging role model for others. Her passion for swimming is carried into her life outside of school, as she is a lifeguard and swim instructor who utilizes her values of hard work and compassion.

Beth Santos

Beth Santos (they/she) is a Filipino American & transgender creator who represents herself as the co-president of the Moreau Catholic Art Club. Although she may be identified with the weirdly-known, “token trans women,” at this school, they aspire activism through art, educating fellow allies about the LGBTQIA+ community: from gender identity, sexual orientation, & romantic attraction. In the future of the preparatory school to art school journey, Beth will pursue her passions through storytelling; reinterpret these storylines for their own creative liberties; & live by the self-motivated motto of “Reimagining the ‘Moments in Media.’”

Catalina (Cat) Interiano is a senior at Moreau Catholic High school who aims to share her insight on social issues through her work in the field of visual art. She is currently a part of her school's varsity Track and Field team and works as an active member of the Social Justice Leadership program. She spends her spare time involving herself with Team STYT (Stronger Than You Think), a youth-led organization in Fremont that spread awareness to the community on teen dating violence.

Fiona Cai

Fiona is a Chinese-American senior at Moreau Catholic aiming to create more open-minded and inclusive conversations. Having seen many perspectives in life, she's realized that using empathy and patience is the best way to build community with unlikely people. She's continued to practice these skills by working with children at a summer camp and tutoring elementary students online. She plans on studying business in college where she hopes to work with many new and different people.

Through her involvement in Campus Ministry and her own church, the presence of faith in her life has driven her passion for service. She aspires to pursue a career in the medical field in hopes of achieving her goal of making a difference in the lives of others by caring for their health and wellbeing.

Jamila Mata

Jamila Mata is a Filipino-American senior at Moreau Catholic High School, who is focused on understanding different cultural experiences as well as embracing her own. An avid reader, she enjoys opening up and developing conversations about different traditions, lifestyles, and media. She hopes to devote herself to a life of service, cultural enrichment and knowledge, as well as teach others about the importance of dedicating oneself to learning and emotional growth. Currently, she is President of Moreau Catholic's Anime Club and strives to make the communities she is a part of a safe and enjoyable environment.

Jeffrey Chen

Jeffrey is an international student from Taiwan who came to America to pursue his dream of becoming a physical therapist/athletic trainer. He dedicated most of his time to baseball, but when he puts his workout outfit aside, he’s also a car enthusiast, and a road cyclist - you might have seen him on the bike somewhere around the bay area. Throughout his odyssey in a foreign country, he met many people who are determined towards their dreams, and inspired by them to get out of his comfort zone and become a leader in the community.

Kamsi Okonkwo is an African American senior who, despite experiencing numerous setbacks, aims to continue growing and learning at each stage of his life. Through sports such as football, leadership positions like captain, mission integration committee student representative, and link crew leader, as well as his commitment to a large family, he has developed the ability to adapt and conquer. His passion for progress has driven him out of his comfort zone on numerous occasions, and he aspires to inspire others while pursuing a career in the medical field.

Kendal Beasley

Kendal Beasley is an African American student passionate about Social Justice and changing the norm of society. Currently she is the Co-president of the Black Student Union Club. She is an advocate who hopes that her talk will educate her audience and bring forth change for her own community. In the future, she hopes to major in criminal justice and use her voice as a vessel for those who do not have the power to do so.

Laura Charles

Student
Laura Charles is a senior at Moreau Catholic High School, where she is Co-President of the MED Club and has been a Girl Scout for 13 years. Currently an Ambassador, she recently completed her Gold Award Project "Kudumba Unavu Thittam", teaching students in India about the importance of having a balanced diet while teaching them how to garden. By connecting these lessons with students biology lessons, she promotes hands-on learning, a technique that has greatly helped her in her own studies. With a passion towards helping those around her, she is a frequent volunteer at local organizations, primarily focusing on the importance of having healthy food. Apart from that, she is a graduate and teaching assistant at the International Tamil Academy. She hopes to go on to become a physician and impact many more lives in the community and world.

Leila Dixon

Leila Dixon is a black student athlete who is grateful for all the challenges that life has thrown at her in order to shape her into who she is today. She loves making an impact in her community which is why she adores doing community service. Leila focuses on her academics and on her athletics as she is a Captain of the Moreau Varsity Softball team, plays on a high level travel team, and has already committed to play D1 college softball.

Natalia Guerrero

Natalia is a senior here at Moreau who has been taking psychology and neuroscience based classes since middle school. With a specific interest in the adolescent mind, Natalia volunteers her summers as a camp counselor to be able to experience firsthand how optimism and positive leadership supports development. She currently is the president of the Moreau Service Committee, on Varsity Girls Lacrosse, and an active Link Crew member. Natalia hopes to major in Cognitive Neuroscience to be able to further her dreams in becoming a psychiatrist, using her personal experiences to compassionately navigate the brain and it's interactions in our world.

Riya Patel

Riya Patel is a senior at Moreau Catholic High School who hopes to pursue a future in medicine and psychology. As a published author of a research paper on the connections between several rare disorders, she has explored the various aspects of diseases including their treatments and diagnoses. She is also the co-president of Moreau Catholic’s Science Club and has worked as a camp counselor for kids with specific disorders, dedicated to both learning and raising awareness about the issues that matter the most to her.

Roquel Salomon

Roquel Salomon is a current Moreau Catholic High School senior and graduated scholar of SMASH UC Berkeley. With her creative mind and restless strive for success, she is hoping to bring light to those who don't have voices or don't believe in their own. Throughout high school, she has decided to one day become the multiracial woman in STEM she was missing, and strives to become the symbol of hope little girls like her can look up too. She has her heart set on becoming a part of the few Black and Mexican women in Oncology and among many other extra-curriculars, she is a National Webinar Competition Winner, National Honors Society Tutor, Link Crew Leader, and Gold Legacy Student Ambassador.

Sharonjit Kaur

Sharonjit Kaur is a high school senior at Moreau Catholic High School whose passion for addressing language barriers within healthcare has led to choose a career in healthcare. As an advocate for breaking down language barriers in healthcare, Sharonjit brings a unique perspective to the table, drawing from her own personal experiences in navigating diverse linguistic landscapes. Beyond her academic pursuits, Sharon is actively involved in mock trial, tennis, and her club, the South Asian Student Association which she is the president of. These endeavors have allowed her to gain leadership skills and public speaking abilities, empowering her to articulate her ideas persuasively and lead by example in advocating for inclusivity and accessibility in healthcare systems.

Viraaj Gupta

Viraaj Gupta is a graduating senior who, along with his passion for language learning, seeks to pursue a career in diplomacy and global affairs to help mediate international conflicts and enact changes that benefit communities all around the world. His most notable interests include participation in the Honors Jazz Ensemble, Varsity Soccer, Varsity Badminton, as well as presidency over the Japanese Exchange Club which facilitates the decade-long school exchange with Moreau's sister school in Funabashi, Japan. Viraaj's experience both at home and abroad contribute to his desire to maintain a well-rounded skillset throughout his career while dedicating himself to solving global conflicts.

Wyatt Reams

A senior in high school, Wyatt is active in all things service. At school, he is a campus minister who serves his school’s faith community. Outside of Moreau, Wyatt is a dedicated scouter who spends his summers at Camp Royaneh in the redwoods. Like the scout oath says, he tries to “Help others at all times.”
