In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ms. Aisha Abba Kyari is an Associate Vice President and Portfolio Manager at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (“NSIA”). Aisha works within the NSIA’s Infrastructure Fund as the Head of Investments in energy and gas-based sectors and is currently leading the development of projects valued in excess of N10 billion, designed to address key national issues including power availability, job creation, and local content development. Notably, she led the investment team at Nigeria’s Sovereign Wealth Fund that successfully established a significant 10MW independent solar power project for homes and businesses, which is currently the largest solar power plant in Nigeria Aisha has built a track record for successfully developing, de-risking, and executing projects across several sectors during her successful career, where she has been responsible for the development and negotiation of numerous commercial agreements with multinational companies.

Maryam Bukar

Maryam Bukar popular known as ALHANISLAM is a renowned poet and an exponent of the spoken word, gender advocate, wellness enthusiast, and the new voice of young emerging Africans Maryam is an inspiring leader, a social media influencer, and a brand advocate. Through her platforms, she provides visibility for brands and promotes their essence to her half a million followers. Alhanislam has worked with multinationals, and international NGOs, spoken and performed spoken word poetry using it as an intervention at various high-level events including: TEDx Argungu NEXT Level U.S.A The Kaduna Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) conferences. 2.0 the African Governance Architecture Conference and the African Union 8th High Level Dialogue Conference 2019 which took place in Kampala, Uganda She is currently an ambassador to the Gheii (global envoy international foundation)

Prof. Anwar Alam

Dr. Alam, who has held Professorship since 2007, is currently Full Professor and HOD at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja and Distinguished Fellow with Policy Perspectives Foundation, New Delhi. Earlier he served as Full Professor at Department of International Studies, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science, Zirve University, Gaziantep, Turkey, Professor and Director at Centre for West Asian Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, Professor at Centre for West Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and Assistant Professor at Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr Alam has more than 35 articles in national and international referred journals, in addition to two books, six edited books, one co-edited book and 17 chapters in edited books in the related field of South Asia, West Asia, Indian politics and Indian foreign policy and Muslim Politics
