This event occurred on
October 27, 2023

Japan

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ayane Murakami

One Young World Ambassador
Born in Nagasaki and currently a senior at Nagasaki University. She was a student with a lot of inferiority complexes. With a desire to "change herself," she became involved in nuclear abolition and peace activities as a high school student. In university, she was inspired by the wider world through her experiences as a member of the Nagasaki Youth Delegation and One Young World Ambassador. Since then, she has been thinking, learning, and acting to change the high hurdles in social issues and peace activities. She enjoys meeting people the most and struggles to make a difference every day.

Combined with her experience growing up internationally in Japan, Germany, South Africa and the United Kingdom, she has made it her mission to spread awareness for and acceptance of diversity. In order to amplify her voice, she now works in media.
