At TEDxUnity Grammar Youth, we invite you to join us for a thought-provoking exploration of "Screens, Teens, and Dreams: Empowering Youth in the Digital Age."

In this illuminating event, we will delve into the profound impact of screens on the lives of teenagers today. We'll discuss how technology is reshaping their worldviews, aspirations, and experiences. Ali Assaad

Educator
Educator An educator, leader, entrepreneur, community influencer and author with degrees in English Literature, Teaching, and Islamic Studies, and is furthering his education at Harvard Business School. He authored "Foundations of Islamic Knowledge: A Guide for Muslims" and holds leadership roles at Unity Grammar and MIA – Liverpool Islamic Centre. As a member of the Australian National Imams Council, Ali actively contributes to community-based projects and consults for non-profits on various strategic issues.

Hafza Faizan

Student
Hafza was the 2023 Unity Grammar Primary School Vice-Captain. She has accomplished numerous accolades ranging from sports all the way to academics. She has been doing Martial Arts since the age of 5 and has written and illustrated a kids book 'The Beauty in Seasons’ for students from K-2. She has been part of the Unity Grammar Robotics which has won numerours regional and state awards. Hafza has also competed and won numerous public speaking competitions. She has also volunteered for the Shahid Afridi Foundation when they have hosted charity events to help the underprivileged children in Pakistan.

Jada Kabbout

Student
A distinguished student at Unity Grammar, excelling in subjects including English, Commerce, and Arabic Studies, and leading in extracurriculars. She is an inter-school champion in public speaking, spelling bees, and debating, and contributes articles to various magazines. Active in sports, she has successes in soccer and basketball. Jada also mentors in debating, participates in Model Global Parliament and Model United Nations, and advocates for interfaith and political discussions. She is the female School Captain.

Kais Al Kaissi

Entrepreneur
Kais, a designer with degrees in graphic design and art history, founded the NFT project Okay Bears in 2022, which earned $18 million on its launch day. The project blends art and technology, collaborates with brands and celebrities, supports major charities, and has ventured into gaming with significant success in Fortnite. Kais continues to innovate in digital ownership and identity.

Nofil Khan

AI Consultant
Nofil Khan is the founder at Time x Money, an AI advisory and development agency specialising in the integration of Artificial Intelligence into businesses processes. With a readership exceeding 7,000 professionals from leading technology, consulting, and venture capital firms, his influential AI-focused newsletter has rapidly gained prominence within the industry. Nofil has consulted on hundreds of projects across various industries. As a consultant with extensive experience, he regularly comments on both the technical advances and broader societal implications of Artificial Intelligence. Nofil is currently working with a company on building the ultimate AI tutor - one that encapsulates much of what we think AI will do for education.

Rayan Merkbawi

UTS Lecturer
Dr. Rayan Merkbawi, a University lecturer and a researcher at UTS Business School with a Doctorate in Business management. Rayan is a dedicated Faculty Coordinator for the U@uni program at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and strive to create an inclusive and innovative learning community that empowers students to excel in their academic pursuits and prepares them for success in and beyond the university setting. Her pursuit extends beyond academia, exemplifying a dedication to breaking new ground and creating a meaningful change. Through teachings, research, and open discussions, Rayan shapes the narrative of social impact, leaving an indelible mark on those who aspire to make a meaningful difference in the world.
