Theme: What does it mean to love?

This event occurred on
February 13, 2024
Irvine, California
United States

This year, TEDxUCIrvine presents our Salon Event: "What Does It Mean to Love?". The topic delves into the intricate tapestry of emotions, from the euphoria of romance to the selflessness of compassion. Through thought-provoking discussions, TEDxUCIrvine wants to provide a creative forum for people who want to challenge perceptions and celebrate the universal language that binds us all.

Due to the intimate nature of this event, audience members will get the opportunity to discuss their definitions of love and reflect on how it may change over the course of the event. Relevant talks will also be played to see how past TED speakers have defined love and their relationships. This is a very casual, tight-knit event compared to our annual spring conference that will occur in May.

This salon event will occur on Tuesday, February 13th from 6-8pm at the Crystal Cove Auditorium in UCI's Student Center. Food and drinks will be provided. This event is FREE, but capacity is limited to 50 people so register now!
