In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

As a lifelong Idahoan, Emma has learned the value of community and has a passion for public service. In the past year, she's interned for the Idaho and United States House of Representatives, served on the Superintendent for Public Instruction's Advisory Council, and been selected as a United States Senate Youth Program Delegate.

Kendal Kaufman

Kendal Kaufman is extremely curious, with many different interests such as cybersecurity, chess, culinary, and learning languages. She's sociable, loves meeting new people and new minds, and has the overwhelming urge to make the world a kinder, better place.

Laurie Roberts

English Department Chair
Laurie Roberts is a lifelong Idahoan who has been teaching high school English in Idaho for 36 years. After starting her teaching career in her hometown, Kellogg, Idaho, Laurie moved to Boise, where she began her current teaching assignment at Timberline High School. In addition to teaching, Laurie loves storytelling, running, singing, and geography.

Lucina Glynn

Student Council President
Living in Idaho her whole life, Lucy has grown a great love for her beautiful state as she enjoys hiking and skiing. A Speech and Debate Captain and Student Council President, Lucy is eager to share her ideas of "Maximizing Our Collective Potential."

Youssef Ben Ameur

Tunisian Exchange Student
Youssef is a 21-year-old exchange student from Tunisia, North Africa, currently majoring in Business Administration at Boise State University. He's been actively engaged in community service and held numerous leadership roles in Tunisia. With his USA experience, he developed a keen interest in diversity and inclusivity, cultivating a solid global perspective.
