In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

She is the mother of two beautiful girls, a women’s physique competitor, and a daily reminder that, with God, all things are possible. Brittany was raised by her grandmother after her parents lost custody of her and her sibling. Although her grandmother was an incredible influence on her, she would later discover the traumatic aftermath of her early childhood. She was determined to defy the odds and not become another statistic. Being the first “Overcomer” winner at the 2020 Nashville Fitshow showed her she was meant for more. Here is where she found her purpose.

Tara Heaton

Communication Expert
Tara Heaton is a master storyteller and communication expert. She created EnPointe Communication by applying her years of neuroscience research to her years of leadership, sales, and presentation experience. She helps organizations strengthen teams, elevate performance, and make a greater impact. Before EnPointe, Tara worked for 23 years in sales, sales management and as vice president of sales for a $400M+ national corporation. Interestingly and quite tragically, Tara’s daughter was struck with a rare virus in 2005. What ensued was a lifetime of seizures that have caused gradual and significant brain damage. This catapulted Tara into a mono-maniacal study of the brain as it relates to memory, human behavior, habit, and function. From there she developed Talk to the BrainTM, the platform from which she teaches the neuroeconomics of what delights and influences the mind and elevates sustainable joy in today’s highly stimulated world.
