In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ben Ewy

Ben is the VP of Global Product Design for Carhartt, and an alum of both University of Michigan as well as Parsons School of Design. His experience has helped give him a diverse and rich perspective on the art of design. With work from New Era Cap Company to Nautica and teachings on sneaker culture, he has a rich background in shaping industry trends.

Noha is a committed lecturer and English professor for the University of Michigan Comprehensive Studies Program whose passion for fostering understanding and inclusivity is at the heart of her academic work. Noha's approach to teaching and research strives for balance and beauty through diversity and empathy.

Richard Lui

Richard Lui is a distinguished MSNBC / NBC News Anchor, filmmaker, and author, to this year's TEDxUofM stage. As a proud Ross alum, Richard brings a unique perspective shaped by his multifaceted career and academic journey. Richard's insights stem from his extensive experience in the field of journalism and storytelling, offering a deep understanding of global empathy and community. He will share stories that illuminate the power of collective action and the human spirit's resilience in facing challenges.
