In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

She has traveled the globe in pursuit of culinary excellence and has dined establishments totalling over 300 Michelin stars. This culinary journey has culminated in her partnership with the soon-to-open sound immersive restaurant, Sorekara, slated to debut in the winter of 2023. She is dedicated to bring more digitalisation tools to food and beverage industry.

Jürgen Lauber

Founder - 2EASE AG & Former managing director and CEO
Before starting in 2015 the company 2ease AG for leadership tools and web-based mentoring on the job, Jürgen Lauber was for 22 years working as Managing Director and CEO of industrial companies. He lived and worked in four countries (D, USA, I, CH) and speaks four languages (D, I, E, F). He has several appearances in German prime-time new shows (Heute Journal; Frontal). His professional education consisted of a three-year apprenticeship in a pharmaceutical company, followed by an Electrical Engineering Master's degree at the Technical University of Karlsruhe.

Lukas is an EHL alumnus and the winner of the sustainable Hospitality Challenge in 2022. After years of intensive work as an assistant hotel manager, Lukas transitioned in a multifaceted career. He channels his passion for F&B through culinary pop-ups organised with his collective @hyper.gastro, which connects hyperactive and motivated hospitality experts. His talk will be diving into the sphere of sustainable hospitality, more specifically "co-living", alluding to his experiences that got him to where he is today.

Michael Ellis

President - Food & Beverage Division at FEBC Group
Michael was the Chief Culinary Officer at Dubai based Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts from 2018 until 2021, overseeing the Food & Beverage activities of their 23 properties in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to his time at Jumeirah, from 2011 to 2018, Michael was Global Director of the world-renowned Michelin Guides, overseeing the Michelin Inspection teams around the world. He will be taking us on a culinary journey through his experience as an F&B President, overseer within the Michelin Guide. Michael will share with us the valuable lessons he has acquired from his early beginnings in the kitchen and how these teachings have contributed to his success working as the globe director of the Michelin.

Panhchakpor Pen

EHL Hospitality Business School
Panhchakpor Pen is a BOSC 2 student from Cambodia. Currently, she is a student ambassador and is actively participating in numerous projects focused on hospitality and vocational education, which is where her passions lie. She hopes to give insight into overcoming one's fear of public speaker, from the perspective of a notoriously shy girl who would go on to compete on the Cambodian National Debate Team in high school, to now have her first TEDx talk.

Silvia Quarteroni

Head of Innovation - Swiss Data Science Center
She is an Italian and Swiss computer scientist. Following a Ph.D in automatic question-answering systems, she pursued a research career on human-computer dialogue and related machine-learning topics. Silvia is currently the head at the innovation unit at the Swiss Data Science Center and was recently named by newspaper Le Temps as one of the top personalities in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
