In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Divyana Das

Divyana Das is a student of Class 5 of BDW International School, Shillong. She is a dreamer and likes to dream big as she believes dream do come true after all! She is also a swimmer, does roller skates ,doodles once in a while and loves to walk about in the midst of nature.

Dr Dhirendra Mishra

Grassroots Education Worker
Dr. Dhirendra Mishra has one of the most unique journeys, having metamorphosed from a senior school teacher to a 360 degree edupreneur. Having started his career off a a teacher, he went of found LIFE Educare in 2009, a globally renowned end to end school set up and management services. Through his tireless work, passion and educator vision, Dr. Mishra has gone on to transform the landscape of rural education in India by helping in the set up of 21st century schools that rival those in any metropolitan city across the world. Thus, he has changed the way education is perceived and the impact it makes in transformational change of geographies as a whole. Having set up over 50 schools in 18 states, Dr. Mishra has trained 5000+ teachers across India. He also holds the unique distinction of being among the only Indians to visit over 600 of India's 750 districts! The topic for his speech is 'Why big city 21st century schools are needed in small towns'.

Ekansh Nair

Student and Coding Enthusiast
Ekansh Nair is an imaginative and resourceful Grade VI student with the remarkable ability to quickly and efficiently grasp ideas. He excels in solving puzzles and effectively immerses himself in exploring new domains. Ekansh is deeply passionate about coding and AI, with a dream of designing an AI-based game. He is also an internationally published poet and Model UN participant. His chosen topic for his speech is "Traffic Congestion in Meghalaya." Ekansh's life motto is "Don't work harder, work smarter."

Hadriel Rymke Don

Student and Journalism Enthusiast
Hadriel is a Grade 6 student with an insatiable curiosity and a sharp mind, always eager to explore new ideas and concepts. His knowledge spans a wide range of subjects. Beyond academics, Hadriel has a deep passion for sports, especially football. His topic is “ How social media can transform Meghalaya” and his favourite line is “With great power comes great responsibility, so use social media correctly”

Jehan Izmim Shifa

Jehan Izmim Shifa is a student of Grade IV, energetic, diligent, ambitious and ready to learn new things from the people around and loves to explore new areas of interest. She is a yellow house member and very good at athletics. She aspires to become an illustrator. She loves participating in sports and also various school events. Her motto for life is "Set Some Goals and Work Hard on Achieving It".

Johnborlang Pyngrope

Johnborlang Pyngrope a visually impaired student from Bethany Society Shillong, is a talented national football player selected to represent India. Hindered by financial constraints, he couldn't make his international debut. Despite setbacks, he remains determined to represent his country and encourages others to never give up on their dreams through his inspiring talks.

Krishiv Choudhury

Student and Cricket Enthusiast
Krishiv Choudhury is a student of Grade VIII. He is determined, helpful, sincere and energetic. A very quick learnerx he is interested in sports , studies, creative tasks etc. He is currently playing cricket for the district East Khasi Hills and even got selected to play in a club at a very young age. He is passionate about becoming a cricketer and playing for the Indian Cricket Team. His topic for the TED talk is “Why do I want an IPL team for Meghalaya?’. His motto for life is ‘Develop success from failures’.

Mayfereen Ryntathiang

Human Rights Activist for Indigenous Rights
Mayfereen a 2022 Acumen Leadership Fellow is a Social Worker with more than a decade of committed work put in the field of her choice and she is passionate about her work. A Masters in English literature, she has also completed a leadership and human rights course from Columbia University, USA. A champion for progress of indigenous women in Northeast India, Mayfereen founded Grassroot, an NGO promoting societal change and indigenous rights. She has represented India at the United Nations Permanent Forum of Indigenous Issues as well. Her topic for the TED Talk is "We the sum of Us".

Naphisabet Georginia Pathaw

Student and Water Conservationist
Naphisabet Georginia Pathaw is a student of Grade VII. She is passionate about learning new things. Inspired by the series ‘The Good Doctor’, she wants to pursue medicine and become a surgeon. She is currently pursuing Grade 3 in piano. During her free time, she loves to swim, play basketball and watch anime. She has won several medals in Olympiads. Her topic for her TED talk is ‘Are Rivers Still Breathing?’ Her motto in life is ‘Be stronger than your excuses’.

Noted Academician and Social Worker
Dr. Phervision Nongtdu is the founder Principal of Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat, Meghalaya, India. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Arts(M.A History) degree,and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). He is a well known academician, researcher and member of several professional bodies. He is also actively involved in social work and a well known personality in the Jaintia Hills Region. He is known for his intellectual brilliance, his dedication to education, and his commitment to social service. The topic for his speech is ‘The power of community collaboration for social impact’

Prajal Regmi

Social Changemaker and Entrepreneur
Mr. Prajal Regmi is the President for the Young Entrepreneurs Forum India for Northeast. He is also the Founder and CEO of Ripra Clothing Pvt. Ltd. He was awarded the Ashoka Young Changemaker India 2022 award, as well as the Best Young Social Entrepreneur 2023.

Raihan Laskar

Raihan Laskar of grade V is a jovial young boy. He takes active interest in cricket and football and plays these sports with great enthusiasm. He is also learning to play the guitar. He is good in academics and has qualified the International English Olympiad twice. Environment issues and current affairs draw his attention. Raihan aspires to be an engineer.

Rohit Bihani

Educational Entrepreneur
Mr. Rohit Bihani is a civil engineer by qualification, and a passionate educational entrepreneur by profession. After successfully clearing the UPSC mains twice and also making it once to the UPSC interview round, Rohit is now a trustee of a reputed school in Guwahati. He also heads their civil services foundation programme and guides students for CUET entrance exams.

Stuti Dudhoria is a student of Grade 4. Cheerful, funny and kind, Stuti loves cooking and baking. She is an avid reader and has secured a distinction in Bharat Natyam at various levels.
