In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Amit Kasliwal

Co-Founder Dehurdle
Amit Kasliwal, an INSEAD graduate and TEDx speaker, is the co-founder of Dehurdle, a wellness platform created to help individuals overcome daily challenges and reshape their mindset. His journey, which includes impactful roles at Times Group, Hero Moto Corp, and Ford India, took a significant turn following a personal crisis and transformative insights gained at INSEAD. This led to the founding of Dehurdle, a platform with a proven track record of empowering over 20,000 people across organizations like Google and American Express. Amit extends his expertise beyond the corporate sphere, disseminating his knowledge on TEDx platforms and through contributions to the Indian media. As a proponent of mental wellness, he advocates a unique three-step methodology rooted in neuroplasticity, guiding people through the complexities of life's trials.

Anil Dhir

Historian, Author
Anil Dhir, is a distinguished historian and heritage conservator. He is the Convener of the Odisha Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, Anil has spearheaded significant cultural projects, including the monumental Jagganath Sadak Yatra and extensive cultural mappings of the Prachi and Mahanadi Valleys. An intrepid traveler with a passion for exploring India's diversity, Anil's journey encompasses every state in the country. His impactful research on Netaji and the INA, including interactions with over 175 INA veterans, highlights his deep commitment to unearthing historical narratives. A prolific writer, Anil has published nearly 300 scholarly articles and is a respected columnist in national newspapers.

Gaurav Shorey

Architect, Co-founder at 5waraj
Gaurav Shorey, a co-founder of 5waraj NGO and a visiting faculty member at the School of Planning and Architecture, poses thought-provoking questions about integrating local culture and traditional wisdom into modern development and education. With a rich experience spanning 17 years, over 200 green building projects, and training 30,000 people in sustainable practices, Gaurav advocates for a deeper conversation about sustainability. His focus is on altering the social construct of reality, encouraging people to embrace and trust in their traditional knowledge and cultural heritage.

Safdar Rahman

Filmmaker
Safdar is a film-maker and educator with over ten years' experience. His career started as a class teacher in a low resourced classroom as a part of the Teach For India Fellowship in 2012. After that, Safdar took a leap into the world of films. He has written and directed Chippa, a children's film which was acquired by Netflix in 2020. His second film, READY STEADY – made with a group of teenagers in Delhi – is set to release soon. Now, he is working towards merging both his worlds, building a Video Creation company, that uses video to improve communication skills in students.

Supriya Newar

Writer, Author, Communication Specialist
Supriya Newar is an alum of Modern High & St. Xavier's College and holds a Master of Arts degree from Jadavpur University. She wears several hats of being an author, poet, communications specialist and music aficionado. She has clocked over two decades professionally in steering noteworthy brands, and trained & led teams. She continues to be attached with a clutch of firms as a consultant and an Independent Director. She has authored several noteworthy coffee table books, She’s authored two books on the city - Kalkatta Chronicles and Kolkata Classics. She also has to her credit, hundreds of bylines and travelogues published widely. She revels in reading and writing poetry in multiple languages. She has taught at The Heritage College, At The Statesman Print Journalism School, St.Xavier’s College. She is also associated with organizations such as Calcutta Debating Circle, Calcutta Heritage Collective, and The Creative Arts Academy
