Farshad Badie

Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics
Dr. Farshad Badie holds a PhD in ‘Human-Centered Communication & Informatics’ (with a special focus on ‘logic’, ‘information science’ and ‘learning/cognitive science’ in human-human-machine interaction systems) from Aalborg University (AAU) in Denmark (2017). Also, in 2013, he obtained his MSc (graded with honour) in ‘Software IT’ (specialised in ‘Information Systems’) from the University of Debrecen in Hungary. Generally, Dr Badie’s research deals with description logics (concept language) and their applications in semantic/terminological knowledge modelling as well as in the analysis of human and artificial cognition. He is especially interested in logical, ontological and semantic analysis of the hypothesised building blocks of meaning and cognition within cognitive/knowledge agents’ interactions.

Kyriakos Kouveliotis

Provost & Chief Academic Officer
Prof. Dr. Kyriakos Kouveliotis has a PhD in European Integration and International Relations awarded by Newcastle University whereas, he also holds an MA in Diplomacy awarded by Lancaster University UK, a certificate in Linguistics awarded by Bangor University UK and a BA in English Literature and Linguistics awarded by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece. He has also completed two cycles of Post - Doctorate research one on Decision and Policy - Making and one on Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management. Professor Kouveliotis has worked in various research groups. He is an accomplished researcher in a variety of disciplines, and in the last 20 years he has taught in many Universities and educational organisations globally among Newcastle University, University of Sunderland, Deree College, University of Indianapolis, Hellenic Air Force War College and Hellenic Naval War College to name a few.

Monika Klein

Dean of Faculty of Creative Industries
Dr. Monika Klein is the Dean of Faculty of Creative Industries. Her education, encompassing an M.A in Political and Social Science specialisation in culture, a PhD in Economics (Business Models of Creative Industries), advanced SCRUM and Prince Certificates, as well as training programmes in management and human resources, coupled with her work experience have helped her develop a proactive management style, which allows cohesive team building, personal development and creative work-processes within organisations, while meeting the highest professional standards and efficiency. For more than twenty years, she has been working in international environments in numerous research and implementation projects connected to the subject of art and creativity (AO: HORRIZON, Interreg Baltic, Interreg Europe Programme).

Sagi Hartov

BSBI Co-Founder and Executive Chairman
Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of BSBI Sagi Hartov is a successful international cellist who has taken part in several festivals and competitions, as well as recording advertisement soundtracks for BBC and Universal Records. He has been a member of the London Mozart Trio and he is the founder of the Ernest Bloch classical competition. He also serves as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman at the London College of Contemporary Arts, as well as Chairman of HTK Academy (Hamburg) and Principal of GUS Creative Arts.
