Theme: Leadership in the Fast Lane

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

As Head of the AI and Data program within Continental Automotive Technologies, she is helping to shape the mobility of tomorrow. Passion, motivation and willpower – you can achieve anything with these. This is demonstrated by Dr. Corina Apachiţe’s impressive career. Brought up in the little village of Mihăileni in Romania, she was used to hard work from an early age. This way of life has had a deep influence on her.

Dr. Silviu Rei

Head of SCT Location Sibiu and Head of R&D AN Sibiu

Having almost 18 years of experience in the company, Silviu is responsible for Continental Sibiu R&D. Today, the R&D center has about 1,300 engineers. In addition, he is also leading one of the departments in the R&D center, with activities in Software, Hardware, System Engineering and Project Management. He is one of the leaders in the forefront of transforming Continental into an innovative technology company, a company of the future.

Dragos Iliescu

"Dragoș Iliescu is a university professor within the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Stellenbosch. In addition to his academic career, he has been active in consulting for the past 20 years. His research interests are centered around two major areas: applied psychology in occupational contexts and human capital issues, as well as psychological and educational testing and assessment (with a strong intercultural component). He has been an active entrepreneur for 25 years - among other things, he is the founder of Testcentral, the Romanian publisher of psychological tests, and BRIO, the Romanian standardized educational assessment system."

Elisabeta Moraru

Country Director at Google

Ela Moraru is now Country Manager at Google Romania where she joined initially as Industry Manager in April 2012 working with business verticals, in e-commerce, finance and classifieds. Previously she was part of the management team at Xerox and Microsoft. Ela Moraru holds a Ph.D. degree in Communication Sciences with a thesis focusing on the evolution of the public sphere along with the transformation of the access to information of the citizens. She graduated from a Business Academy at Duke University.

He strongly believes in the power of passionate people to excel organizations beyond expectations.
