TEDxLakeCharles is bringing TEDx to Roswell, Georgia with the purpose of building a longstanding and meaningful community dedicated to exceptional ideas worth spreading, supporting mentorship and creating outstanding leadership while embracing TED values. It is a true honor to be awarded this license.

We are a community of caring individuals who are working together to seek out innovative solutions to old problems. We are not afraid to push boundaries beyond limits, labels, and biases in order to give birth to a world where we all feel empowered, safe, and expanded.

The TEDxLakeCharles team is small but mighty with only 10 volunteers holding the vision and working tirelessly to spread the TEDx message throughout the community.

Angélique has over 30 years of experience in journalism, communication and digital marketing in France & Canada at organization like Radio-France, Le Figaro, Radio-Canada/CBC, Tourism New Brunswick, before getting certified as a trauma-informed practitioner to work with women entrepreneurs and experts on mindset and online visibility content & strategies.

Anna Davis

Anna was convinced the anger she felt stuck in was her problem when she joined a coaching program. The coach suggested she join an adult adoptee support group. She learned about adoption trauma and that her anger was part of the grief she had from this trauma. Ever since she’s been curious, and researching about the effects this had on her life and on other adoptees. She lives with the love of her life Keilan in the Florida Keys. They are developing Transformation Station, a safe place to release physical and emotional trauma from the body. Heather is an accountant turned money detective. Not in the way you might think. She is dedicated to helping people explore their deep-rooted beliefs that have led them to being stuck and broke for years. Heather is passionate about raising the wealth consciousness of the planet. When Heather’s not filling her bank account she is living her dream life in the country, chasing her 3 huskies, relaxing with her husband, and talking to nature.

John Cole

John Cole is a retired Coast Guard officer who spent the majority of his life feeling constrained by stories that he believed were true. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, he found himself challenging every aspect of his life - from his earliest childhood memories to his present personal relationships. It was only when he recognized, and accepted, his own self-worth that he was able to stand in his own power to control his own narrative. The results have truly changed his life.

Laura Lindsey

In 2021, Laura Lindsey embarked on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, leaving behind a stable corporate job to pursue her passion for writing and helping others tell their stories. Today, as a writing coach, ghostwriter, and book editor, she empowers individuals to find and express their truths through words. Laura's own story of moving from the security of the known to the freedom of following her calling serves as a testament to the strength and resilience inherent in us all.

Lucinda Bentley

Mark de Cordoba

Mark de Cordoba is well educated holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems and International Business from the University of Colorado, as well as a Master’s degree in Technical Management from the University of Denver. His degrees and knowledge, however, could not have prepared him for his most recent challenges over the past four years. From losing his wife to ALS while trying to juggle a demanding career to then being laid off in the midst of his mother suddenly facing serious health issues, Mark’s entire perspective about life, work, and faith have been tested. When Mark isn’t pondering the meaning of life, he enjoys biking, hiking and playing in the snow with his grandkids and Skittles, his mischievous Maltipoo, in his native Colorado.

Sheila Eggert

Sheila Eggert is a transformation coach, author and speaker who achieved all the external markers of success she thought would make her happy, yet had a feeling there was something more for her than the life she was living.
