In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Camden Contemporary Dance Theatre (CCDT)

Camden Contemporary Dance Theatre began in 2020 and was created to give dancers from the city of Camden a space to grow professionally in the art of dance. The Founders of CCDT are Camden natives Omar-Frederick Pratt and Takreeya Hawkins who are alumni of Creative Arts High School in Camden, NJ. They strive to present bodies of work that incorporate different genres of dance along with story-telling and positively influencing audience members after each performance.

David Goodman

David Goodman, Camden native and graduate of Eastside High School, studied acting at Freedom Theater in Philadelphia. In 1994, David joined the Screen Actor’s Guild and has been performing since. He’s appeared on TV, in film, and in local and national commercials. A large part of his work is acting in corporate videos for insurance, financial and pharmaceutical companies. In 2020, David officially started his production company, Humanity Pictures, in response to the killing of George Floyd. His goal is to create content to provide hope and to get people to think differently. While he has clients that he films for, his signature piece he is currently working on is “Black Father Hood – The Other Hood.”

HeyJune Jeon

HeyJune Jeon is a highly sought-after intuitive coach, business consultant, and story-teller with over a million followers across all social media platforms. Born in Seoul and raised in Berlin, she spent ten years in NYC cutting her teeth in Wall Street & venture-backed tech startups before founding Pheydrus. She helps high-performing individuals shake out of linear ways of thinking so that they can direct their energy, focus, and time into their truly aligned path. Her approach combines years of training with some of the leading writers, mystics, coaches, and business leaders. She has been featured in Forbes, Fox Business, Allure, NYPost, and more.

Jason Browne

Passionate about storytelling, Jason Browne expertly merges radio, marketing, and public speaking to engage global audiences. Jason has spoken on over hundred stages, addressing leadership, privilege, and diversity. Committed to crafting a better world, he champions positive change, with deep dives into DEI to discussions on space travel, Jason's approach intertwines seriousness with fun. His guiding principle: "Use what you love to fight what you hate.”

Paul Epstein

Paul Epstein is an Emmy-nominated Executive Producer, Writer, and Director with over twenty years of experience in TV and film content creation. Based in New York, Paul has produced programs for networks and streamers including Peacock, MSNBC, History, NatGeo, and Discovery. Paul seeks to reshape the TV landscape in favor of longer-format, high-quality programming, which is losing out to platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. He believes factual historical dramas are a great vehicle for creating engaging and high-quality TV at competitive costs. Paul is a member of the Director's Guild of America and is represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts (APA). He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School University in NYC.

Queena Bergen

Queena Bergen is an award-winning international performance artist and Cultural Ambassador for the US Dept of State. With accolades such as being an AT&T Black Future Maker, recipient of the Presidential Service Award, and an Emmy for her participation in CBS's 'Black History is Our History’ Public Service Campaign, she is a formidable force in storytelling! Queena aims to collaborate with those who share her passion for inspiring others to take the unconventional path, create their reality through their choices, and dream big to make it happen.

Rue Yi

Rue Yi (they/them) is a second-generation Chinese immigrant. They left their tech job three years ago to work in fashion, where they are currently a costume director. Rue also writes short stories online. Their greatest wish is to have a lifetime of good conversations, which you will definitely get to see in their talk.

Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble

The Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble (UAD), founded in 1984, by the late Robert and his wife, Wanda Dickerson, presents a visually and emotionally stimulating performance representing the beauty of African culture. The Unity Community of South Jersey Inc. has been saving lives in the city of Camden and the Tristate Area for over 40 years. Instilling the beauty of African culture, family, respect, and community in the children of Camden, UAD has had the pleasure of performing worldwide, including representing America on international stages.
